Outstanding!

Doug Wilder is truly an amazing person and an even more outstanding lawyer. When I was first pulled over for a DWI I thought that the rest of my life would be ruined.  I was pulled over for driving 64 in a 40 and ended up blowing a .115. I have heard the horror stories about what having a DWI on the ...record could be to a person’s career and the additional consequences that would come from it. I needed someone to hear my side of the story, someone to fight for me, and then I found Doug. He reviewed my case and was certain that we had a chance of a not guilty verdict by taking it to trial. He made sure to keep me updated through out the process and was prompt about answering any of my calls and emails. We had several meetings regarding what was going to happen.  Doug wanted to make sure that I fully understood the process.  He also spent a lot of time with my witness who was with me in the car. So, by the time trial can around I know exactly what was going to be said and felt confident that the case could go my way. Trials are tough.  Information can come to light during trial, some of which might seems damaging, but Doug has a great policy of always fighting with the truth; and that is what we did. Doug assured my that with the expert that he has worked with in the past and the prosecuting attorneys that he has fought against that the truth was the best way to win. I am so happy to say that we did. It was concluded that the field sobriety tests and .115 breath test that was administered to me that night was not enough evidence to convict me of a DWI. With a new job right around the corner, I knew that a conviction would have been devastating and would have cost me the job, but thanks to Doug and his team we succeeded. Everyone worked very hard to ensure I was well taken care of and for anyone else that might have a situation similar to mine I would highly recommend Doug Wilder and The Wilder Firm.

Thank god for Doug and his expertise.

I had a DWI/2nd Offense and was devastated, scared, and lost. By far, my best decision through this whole process was engaging Doug Wilder. From Day One, he and his outstanding associates calmed me, walked me through alternatives and suggestions, were there every step of the way from the beginning, ...through my court date, and afterwards. As I went through the various steps of the process, I talked to many of the people in my same situation and it was clear that Doug's outstanding service to me and my case is not the norm, at least from my peers. Talk of no response from their attorney, no help, no advice, and most important to me, no compassion to these peers' situation and willingness to help. Doug was a superstar and that's not only my opinion. At my Occupational Drivers License hearing, in open court, the judge addressed me and said "I hope you know you have one of the finest attorneys in the State of Texas. Follow his advice and you'll be ok." I couldn't have said it better myself. And a shout-out to his paralegal Rebecca. I will be forever grateful to both. Daniel - Dallas

NOT GUILTY BY JUDGE & JURY!!! SUPER ATTORNEY!!! Highly recommend this man.

I was arrested for suspicion of DWI 2. My professional career, clearance and retirement were at stake. My whole world as far as I was concerned would be turned upside down. Doug gave me a since of comfort relief after our initial meeting that I had found the person to save my career. I felt very co...nfident with hiring this man and his team to save my life as I knew it. Knowing now that, after meeting with 4 different Attorneys before Doug. Doug had great references, online positive reviews & the lack of negative review and a history of winning cases. His attentiveness in listening and understanding my extenuating circumstances with my job (my clearance), his case management skills (his team notifying me on every issue immediately), his "CAN DO" spirit, attention to detail (note taking during our meetings, his questioning me about the details surrounding the day & night of the arrest), professionalism (he didn't treat me like I was there for him, I wasn't just another poor sap for him to help), Being chosen as the "Super Lawyer of the year" by his colleague in Dallas County multiple years running ( http://www.superlawyers.com/texas/lawyer/Douglas-L-Wilder/4302d017-75cc-4c37-a72a-586c028bbb82.html ), courtroom experience (he seemed at home in the courtroom like it was "HIS" home playing field) and being a former prosecutor for Dallas County were reasons not only why I chose him, but why am glad to endorse and recommend this man and his team. My case was pushed back for quite a time for my job out of country. The Dallas ADA's team were adamant in hanging me out to dry they wouldn't budge or sway at all. They even had a supervisor with them through the entire trial, and they still didn’t prevail against Doug. During our meetings, Doug explained both sides of my case (good & bad), walked me thru every process, spoke of his network of experts readily available for us, worked with me on every issue and stayed positive thru it all. Getting an experts witness to inspect blood work process, to test the vials and blood independently. Doug and I seemed to be a team going into combat getting ready for trial. He gave me a since of trust in him and we built a camaraderie that I normally only get when I head "down range" with men that I will have to trust with my life and that was a real morale booster. Getting ready for trial, Doug was a machine... driving out to the area I was arrested, taking pictures, looking up state and local laws, finding loop holes wherever they may be that applied to my case, working and building a case like you would hope & expect a true professional attorney should. I was found NOT GUILTY by the judge and jury!!! One of the best days in my entire life!! My record, my good name, my freedom, my job, my clearance, my retirement... I owe it all to Doug Wilder. The Team: Judy was (and still is I'm sure) a knowledgeable and true asset to the "WILDER TEAM"! She handled my expungement process as stress free on me as possible. Very sweet and wonderful person as well. Although I didn't get to work with Rebecca very long, from the times we did interact, she was very professional, knowledgeable at her job and very sweet lady. I am a better person knowing Doug and his team. Thank you Doug, A thousand times thank you!! For saving my life, my career and returning my hope in the justice system that there are great lawyers out there like you who will fight to win not just settle, for those of us caught up in the legal system. Sincerely & eternally grateful, You know….

The BEST

Facing a felony 3rd DUI, I reached out to Doug and his team after talking to him and three other lawyers about my case I decided on the Wilder Firm. The other lawyers that I talked with were more salesman than lawyers stating that they could get the breath test thrown out along with the field sobriet...y test. This concerned me because they had not seen any of the evidence against me. Doug was the only lawyer that gave it to me straight. He did not make any promises about getting the case dismissed or reduced. What he did was give me the real picture, he needed to see the evidence before making any claims about getting the case dismissed. What he did promise was that he and his team would do their best to defend me. I was facing my 3rd DUI needless to say I was very scarred. Once the evidence was in their possession they contacted me to come to the office to review. Doug and Paul worked very hard with the DA and was able to get the charges reduced to 1st DUI I don’t know how they did it but I cannot praise them enough. I was able to keep my license, probation 18 months (this is standard), and I can now put this mistake behind me. I don’t know what I would have done without the Wilder Team.

Disappointed

I had selected him for my DWI case. First offense, first legal trouble. I had 3 court appearances and he was only present for 1 (and tried to find a substitute for that appearance that was my sentencing). He seemed to be familiar with the county I had gotten trouble in, but didn't seem to want to b...e there when I thought it was necessary. Judy was extremely helpful and was a pleasure to deal with. He seemed to be more concerned with going to trial for the purpose of obtaining another retainer fee.
