Magician with Fairy Dust!

I hired Doug a few years ago after I read reviews that he was the best in Dallas for DWI cases. From the beginning to the end of the process Doug and his team were pinpoint on their decision making and guidance. Communication was clear and I know from time to time I asked a lot of questions, but he w...as always there to help : ) I followed his direction and the outcome blew my mind. There are other lawyers in DFW who can represent you in a DWI case, but if you want the best you need to call Doug! I'm not going to go into great detail about my case, but I will say when I thought there wasn't hope he found something and that attention to detail got me a very favorable outcome. There was an article written about him years ago that shows him with boxing gloves around his neck implying that he fights for his clients. It's sooooo true! I'm sure a lot of people read reviews and try to hire the cheapest lawyer with good reviews. Don't do it. If you want the best to the represent you call Doug. He is a Prize Fighter who will have your back and get you the best possible outcome. Thank you Doug for representing me and if you ever need anything I will gladly help!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I was arrested last year on a DWI in carrollton Dallas county, was found sleeping in the back of the car. I failed all the sobriety tests and my alcohol content came back a .21. I hired Doug Wilder and his team and he adviced we decline the plea bargain since it was alittle harsh so we went ahead wit...h the trial option. At the trial Doug was excellent and the prosecution could not prove beyond doubt if i was driving..The verdict..NOT GUILTY..The team has been so supportive especially Ms Rebbecca Burns who was in constant communication through all stages..I highly recommend the wilder firm to anybody who might be going through similar predicaments.. Thank for giving me my life back

Great team!

I first contacted Dougs' office after I found out I had a warrant for probation violation. I was in transition back to Dallas county from Denton when I called to see about what I needed to do to end probation. I had failed an interlock test one morning on the way to work and school. I had used my wif...e's mouthwash since I was out, it was the Walmart brand so I didn't think about the alcohol. It had failed me with a .12! I didn't know how bad I failed, but I knew it would take more time for it to clear than we had. So I went ahead and let my wife drive, causing me to be automatically guilty. I decided to research decent lawyers here on Avvo after having an absolutely terrible experience with the Stanley law firm during my initial DWI. When I first called, I talked to Rebecca. What nailed me was that she seemed genuinely concerned about what happened to me. My first of many lawyers with the same firm the last time around never really listened. So I went ahead and hired them that day. Doug was late the first appointment, but I had been notified already the night before by Rebecca. Had had two major cases that morning so it wasn't a big deal to me. He was very nice, a little on the goofy side, very straightforward, and honest. Never talked down to me or like I was ignorant, like I saw a lot of attorneys do their clients at the courthouse. He also didn't take any flack from the probation office either, even fed it right back. That worries me at first, but I learned that Doug just isn't an attorney to be messed with! He told me that he would more than likely be able to get everything dropped. He immediately had the warrant gone thanks to a personal recognizance bond. Which meant I didn't have to pay any money, but could get in serious trouble for not showing to court! You'd have to be insane not to show to court! I never had to wait long for Doug to show after that day, waiting for probation to do their job was another story though! I went and had my school counselor that I had signed up for classes with that morning, write me a signed statement about how I was not intoxicated. This just wasn't enough to sway the probation officer. So Rebecca initially recommended I take a repeat victim impact panel and sign up for intensive outpatient therapy with her friend Holly Hunter. I was stubborn and didn't don't immediately because I felt like I was admitting guilt. Doug firmly re-recommended Rebecca had prior. So I finally went to the panel, turned out to be a lot more informative than my first in Denton. I also signed up with Holly Hunter. I also learned a lot from that experience as well! She was a great and interesting person that definitely left a mark on me. She too, has quite the reputation in the North Texas legal system. Once I had completed everything, I brought all my paperwork in. Doug got me right in at 9 and three minutes later, everything was dropped!!!! There was always good lines of communication between Doug, Rebecca, and I. Rebecca was always very quick to answer any question I had through the team website and by text. Even after hours she would respond asap! She loaded all of my documents into the system for me so Doug would have them on court day. So very pleased that I found them when I did. They truly went above and beyond my expectations of an attorney's office. They helped me get this giant heap of stress off of my back! If you're looking for a great attorney and legal team, look no further!!!

Miracle Working Attorney

I rec'd my 2nd DWI with child 10 years after my first. For the type of work I do, I could NOT have a felony charge on my record. I met with Doug and was impressed. He was very honest and explained this would be difficult but not impossible. He immediately had me attend AA meetings, attend repeat offe...nder program, attend A Court Class, and get a sober link which I breathed in 4 times a day. My case took a while to finally see a court room which made me stress more but worked in my favor because it allowed me the time to do all the things he asked me to do. I made sure I did it all too!! I finally met with the DA and went before the judge. Doug was not only able to have my felony charges reduced to a misdemeanor but I did not have to do any jail time. Doug & his staff were very detailed oriented & kept me up to date through text, email, phone, & program that I had access to at any time. I highly recommend him to anyone who can benefit from his services. I would have my friends and family use his services, if, god forbid, they got a felony or misdemeanor charge brought upon them. Doug actually cared about me and my case and made sure I knew that.

Outstanding!

Doug Wilder is truly an amazing person and an even more outstanding lawyer. When I was first pulled over for a DWI I thought that the rest of my life would be ruined.  I was pulled over for driving 64 in a 40 and ended up blowing a .115. I have heard the horror stories about what having a DWI on the ...record could be to a person’s career and the additional consequences that would come from it. I needed someone to hear my side of the story, someone to fight for me, and then I found Doug. He reviewed my case and was certain that we had a chance of a not guilty verdict by taking it to trial. He made sure to keep me updated through out the process and was prompt about answering any of my calls and emails. We had several meetings regarding what was going to happen.  Doug wanted to make sure that I fully understood the process.  He also spent a lot of time with my witness who was with me in the car. So, by the time trial can around I know exactly what was going to be said and felt confident that the case could go my way. Trials are tough.  Information can come to light during trial, some of which might seems damaging, but Doug has a great policy of always fighting with the truth; and that is what we did. Doug assured my that with the expert that he has worked with in the past and the prosecuting attorneys that he has fought against that the truth was the best way to win. I am so happy to say that we did. It was concluded that the field sobriety tests and .115 breath test that was administered to me that night was not enough evidence to convict me of a DWI. With a new job right around the corner, I knew that a conviction would have been devastating and would have cost me the job, but thanks to Doug and his team we succeeded. Everyone worked very hard to ensure I was well taken care of and for anyone else that might have a situation similar to mine I would highly recommend Doug Wilder and The Wilder Firm.
