Dismissed - DWI/ Possession

Over the course of another 8 - 9 months, he worked with me on a payment plan and attended all court dates diligently. Late in September, while I was prepping for work, 3 Tactical Dallas Sheriffs knocked on my door and stated they had a warrant for my arrest. According to them, I hadn't been to court ...and my bond was revoked as a result. My whole world came apart as I was fingerprinted and put through the system again. I called Doug from inside and as soon as he got word he was at the jail with proof of his attendance in court. The jail held me for another 7 hours after which they released me on a reinstated bond. When asked why this happened, being falsely imprisoned, their response was that mistakes happen and that I shouldn't have been arrested the first time. The next day, I was terminated from my job for failure to show or call. I was at an all time low but Doug kept me encouraged by vowing to do everything he could to get my case resolved as quick as possible so I could get back to work. We met again mid November at the scene of the arrest and after reviewing the dash cam footage, concluded the traffic stop that led to the arrest wasn't valid. Two weeks later, I was in court with Doug as we filed a Motion to Suppress the Traffic stop. The police officer testified that he did witness a traffic infraction, even though the dash cam showed he didn't. As Doug cross examined him I watched in marvel as he turned into a courtroom ninja. He was extremely detailed in his questioning and caught inconsistencies immediately. His approach to court procedures was spectacular to watch. Needless to say, the very next week the judge granted the Motion to Suppress thereby forcing the prosecution to Dismiss both charges. I wept when I got the news...while I understand this won't be everyone's outcome, it was mine. These two cases had haunted me. They had cost me sleep, time, flexibility and the respect of my peers. Because of Doug I stand free and clear today with joy of it being over and done with. It was certainly a learning experience, and maybe that's why it's set up the way it its. My behavior, my movements, my state of being has drastically changed since that night...but I don't think I would have achieved such growth without a lawyer like Doug in my corner. He's the best if you ever find yourself in such a predicament. It won't be easy...but he'll have your back through it all and when in court, he'll turn into the very ninja you need him to be.

This is the right guy

I have to say, being arrested on a DWI charge can be life altering and was in fact the most terrifying experience of my young adult life. Then finding a lawyer with superior knowledge and expertise that you can truly trust is equally as difficult. I heard about Doug through a family member who ...had defeated two separate cases by the passion and commitment put forth by Mr. Wilder. I was extremely nervous and afraid of what could result from trial but Doug eased me through the entire process. The level of detail he put into my case even triggered the judge to halt the proceedings and appoint an attorney for the Officer who was testifying against me. I had never seen anything like this before and it was probably the highlight of my entire case. He was upfront, honest, and always positioned a step ahead of the prosecution and for that, I cannot appreciate him enough. I’m sure you can google quite a handful attorneys but if you’re looking for the best, get Doug Wilder on your side and get him FAST.

The Best in Dallas!

I found Doug, Rebecca, and Judy through Avvo. To say that they are life-savers would be a gross understatement. My husband had outstanding cash-only warrants for Dallas County totaling $6000.00 and every attorney I spoke to said that they couldn't help us and that we were basically screwed. I called ...Doug's office and spoke to Rebecca and my hope was renewed! Rebecca is AMAZING!!! She took all of our information and immediately set up an appointment to meet with Doug. Doug was confident and extremely knowledgeable. He said we were facing one of the worst courts in the county but that he would do everything in his power to help us. My husband was facing 2 DWI 2nds and an assault charge. His most recent DWI was with a BAC of .31! Doug was able to get the judge to reinstate his bonds without us having to pay the cash warrants. Rebecca always knew exactly what was going on every time I called (which was a ton because I was a nervous wreck :) ). She really makes you feel like you are their only client! Doug and Rebecca got my husband into the programs that helped him clearly see the mistakes he had made and when his court date came up this month, he had already completed all of the certifications that are required as part of probation. Doug was able to get the assault dropped, the old DWI closed as time passed and he got 20 months probation on the one with a .31 and only has to have the interlock for 9 months! Doug kept my husband out of jail, kept him from getting a felony DWI and saved our lives! My husband made some really poor choices years ago and needed help. Doug was compassionate, he never stopped fighting for us and got my husband the help he needed. So, if you are looking for an attorney in Dallas for a DWI, stop and call Doug's office. Rebecca or Judy will answer the phone and you will immediately see what I am talking about! They are the best in the business and you will be glad you called.

Terrific results, impeckable organization.

Was arrested in Aug '16 for a probation violation of a DWI from '08. Contacted my previous attny who helped with the case and told me he wanted x amount of money and that they wanted me to serve time for this violation. Decided to contact Doug BC of things I've heard and the outstanding ratings he re...ceived from other clients. This wasn't my first run in with law enforcement so I kinda knew my way around, but he well exceeded my expectations. His staff is terrific and very well informed, they advised me of what I needed to do and what our goal was for the outcome of my case. I followed their advice and did as I was asked from his staff keep in mind....I didn't meet and talk to Doug until we went to court the third week of september. That's how up to speed and aware he and his staff are when it comes to what needs to happen and needs to be done! I went to court by 9 am met Doug by 915 and the entire violation was dismissed and case closed by 11 am. I went from they want you to serve time on this case to case closed in about week and a half's time because of Mr Wilder. I've dealt with a few lawyers in my time and by far he was the best and easiest to work with. Without a doubt I would recommend Mr. Wilder and his staff hands down!
