A man that knows the Law and uses it to help his clients!

Mr. Wilder handled my sons DWI case. I was confused worried and knew i needed to hire someone with experience. You see it was his second DWI, and that just made it worse! I didn't know if I made the right choice! kept asking myself will he be the one that will represent my son and avoid jail tim...e !!! When I met him in person my mind went at ease and I knew then that we had made not only the right choice, but that my son was in good hands! He was always available , dedicated , easy to talk too, compassionate , counseled my son as if he was his own. And most of all guidance, what steps to make which programs to be part of to help his case. He addressed all issues, what could go right or wrong. It was a long journey since we were dealing with a pandemic and the courts were not available. At the end it all worked out for the best fines where dropped and no jail time, instead a short probation period that we understood and accepted , the nightmare was over with!! I HIGHLY recommend Mr. Wilder, he would be the right person to handle this type of cases. I pray that my son has learned his lesson and never ever drink and drive again.

Dismissed - DWI/ Possession

Over the course of another 8 - 9 months, he worked with me on a payment plan and attended all court dates diligently. Late in September, while I was prepping for work, 3 Tactical Dallas Sheriffs knocked on my door and stated they had a warrant for my arrest. According to them, I hadn't been to court ...and my bond was revoked as a result. My whole world came apart as I was fingerprinted and put through the system again. I called Doug from inside and as soon as he got word he was at the jail with proof of his attendance in court. The jail held me for another 7 hours after which they released me on a reinstated bond. When asked why this happened, being falsely imprisoned, their response was that mistakes happen and that I shouldn't have been arrested the first time. The next day, I was terminated from my job for failure to show or call. I was at an all time low but Doug kept me encouraged by vowing to do everything he could to get my case resolved as quick as possible so I could get back to work. We met again mid November at the scene of the arrest and after reviewing the dash cam footage, concluded the traffic stop that led to the arrest wasn't valid. Two weeks later, I was in court with Doug as we filed a Motion to Suppress the Traffic stop. The police officer testified that he did witness a traffic infraction, even though the dash cam showed he didn't. As Doug cross examined him I watched in marvel as he turned into a courtroom ninja. He was extremely detailed in his questioning and caught inconsistencies immediately. His approach to court procedures was spectacular to watch. Needless to say, the very next week the judge granted the Motion to Suppress thereby forcing the prosecution to Dismiss both charges. I wept when I got the news...while I understand this won't be everyone's outcome, it was mine. These two cases had haunted me. They had cost me sleep, time, flexibility and the respect of my peers. Because of Doug I stand free and clear today with joy of it being over and done with. It was certainly a learning experience, and maybe that's why it's set up the way it its. My behavior, my movements, my state of being has drastically changed since that night...but I don't think I would have achieved such growth without a lawyer like Doug in my corner. He's the best if you ever find yourself in such a predicament. It won't be easy...but he'll have your back through it all and when in court, he'll turn into the very ninja you need him to be.

Outstanding Work from Doug Wilder and his Team

Doug will do everything in his power to get you the best possible outcome. Upon being released on bond after a 1st DWI offense, I contacted the Wilder firm. His paralegals were so helpful and told me exactly what to do during this time. Doug told me which steps to take and how everything would roll o...ut if I went with the Wilder firm. After a few consultations from other firms, I decided to go with Doug. I can't tell you how impressed I was with their proactive steps. They'll set you up with everything you need. After a discovery period, Doug will consult with you and show you what options you have and advise you on the best possible outcome given the situation. There are so many factors that go into these decisions and Doug's expertise in this area is top notch. He knows the game, he was a prosecutor, he knows who the judges and prosecutors are, he knows how certain days and volume of cases through the court will affect yours - he understands how courts operate. In my case, I was extremely happy with the outcome - I had a very high bac at the time of the incident and there wasn't much room to question evidence if we went to trial so we decided to take a plea deal. Doug was able a negotiate a fabulous plea bargain given the circumstances. If your case has a better chance in trial, Doug will go, and I'd trust him and his team! What happened next is what really impressed me about the Wilder Firm. They will put together a plan for you to be on top of everything for probation. They have classes ready for you to take, and show you what you need. This was so helpful. By the time I had to start probation I had almost everything required of this done. Not to mention when your case in in court either for trial or a plea, this looks overwhelming good to the court. The proactive steps the firm takes for you are incredible. The paralegals are always available and Doug himself is too. He takes the reputation of the firm seriously and offers great service to his clients. I would hire the Wilder Firm again in a heartbeat. If you are considering an attorney, please call them and set up a meeting with Doug. If you want to fight your charge please contact the Wilder Firm. Lastly, Doug and the firm do care about you and their clients. If this DUI is something in your life that is a wake up call, they are there to help and they have a tremendous network of associates to get you help. You want to show the court who you really are and the Wilder Firm is there to do that. I highly recommend the Wilder Firm to you.
