Strong Lawyer Who Will Fight for You

Thankful we were referred to the Wilder Firm to handle our case. Even with the delays brought on by COVID-19 Doug and his staff helped navigate a hard to understand system. Doug and Amy took great care to make sure we understood every step of the process. Demonstrated professionalism, along with ...compassion, and were tops in responsiveness. They are knowledgeable in discussing the details, and candid on possible courses of action. Doug will definitely fight for you. That passion is why I have. already referred a friend to them.

My Blessing!

Mr. Wilder was very professional! He made sure I understood every angle of my case. He kept me up to date with the process going on behind the scenes, and still managed to be on top of my case-despite it being a pandemic. Will definitely recommend him to anyone in a tough situation. Not only is he a ...kick butt lawyer, he was my personal therapist and beat my case!

Great Outcome!

I called Doug on a Sunday morning after learning that our son had encountered a potential "legal issue". Doug personally called us back within 10 minutes and immediately jumped into action. Doug ultimately negotiated a favorable resolution with the local authorities which kept our son's record comp...letely clean. The process took about 5 weeks and Doug did a great job of keeping us informed throughout the process. We prayed for the positive outcome that Doug was ultimately able to produce for our son. I highly recommend The Wilder Firm to anyone that needs a lawyer that truly cares and will work hard to achieve the best possible outcome!

Wouldn’t recommend - get someone else who is competent

I don’t think he is a bad lawyer, but I wouldn’t recommend him. He didn’t have really good relationships/rapport with the judges/court and was pretty unorganized in my opinion which is half the battle of getting a good plea deal with a DWI. We all make mistakes, I did and take full ownership and res...ponsibility, but I don’t ever want an attorney that I paid a lot of money to plea out my case and get me what I could have gotten for a lot less money from a different subpar attorney. It actually felt like I knew more about what I should be doing to help myself than he did. Upside he did respond to most texts/calls until he was too busy or was worried he would look incompetent b/c he knew at that point I knew he wasn’t a good lawyer. Upside b/c I told him how I could help myself, my probation wasn’t as bad, but really I felt like just a number (he couldn’t even get a hearing date right - I showed up, he was very late, and then tried to blame it on the judge/court without taking ownership) and I knew I made a huge mistake hiring him. (I had been waiting for at least 45 minutes to a hour at this point before he showed up b/c I didn’t want to be late - he clearly didn’t care.). He had my money at this point. He has a sales pitch so you will retain him, but his skill level isn’t good and he hires and fires his administration assistants like they are the newest cell phone. All red flags - he’s a good family man, but if you’re smart, you’ll retain a lawyer that knows what he is doing. And just so you know - It bothers me to not be positive and write anything negative about someone who is trying to make a living for his family, but I just think DWI clients deserve better!

THE lawyer who is on your side

I ended up going through 2 attornies to handle my DWI charge in Dallas county. Douglas Wilder was my Last Option and I am so glad that I made that choice. From the time of the event, I felt that my arrest was a mistake made by a group of police officers. My first attorney whom I hired did not ...believe in my situation and instead of fighting for me, he tried to convince me to take a pre-deal. I had to let that person go and did a lot of homework searching THE BEST attorney in Dallas area. I had 5 picks, interviewed them all, and chose Douglas Wilder. I have to admit, it was a long process (1.3 Years) and during the course, I did have some bad experiences such as my questions not being answered by Doug's assistant in a timely manner. However, that person is no longer with the firm and my recent communications with the firm have been perfect. Once the trial date was set, Doug was fully into MY CASE, we met up both in and outside of the office several times to make sure all evidences were covered, ready to present and had full understanding of the event. Doug is not the type of lawyer who only handles paperworks. He is great presenter, have the knowledge and most importantly he will be on your side work with you all the way till the end. After my case was over with no charge, a couple of juries came back to the courtroom and asked for his information. He is that good. Thank you Doug. You are THE LAWYER WHOM PEOPLE WILL TALK ABOUT.
