Penina Sendawula is a long-time resident of the Plano and Frisco areas of Collin County, and a licensed attorney for the State of Texas. She obtained her Associate's degree from Collin College in Frisco and her Bachelor's degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Thereafter, Nina moved to Houston where she obtained her law degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law, affiliated with Texas Southern University. While in law school, Nina first dedicated her time to the Innocence Project and the Human Trafficking Project at Earl Carl Institute. Nina also served as a federal judicial intern in the Northern District Court of Dallas. These experiences developed her interests in legal advocacy for justice and public service. Since becoming an attorney, Nina gives back to her community by continuously performing volunteer services with nonprofit organizations. Additionally, she has received considerable exposure to different practice areas of law by previously working with small and mid-sized law firms in the Dallas area as well as companies that provide legal services to firms and corporations.
