This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
This means the attorney did something wrong, but the Bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
James’s comment: “The issue leading to the reprimand happened from falling behind on a deadline literally the week of my separation before my catastrophically difficult divorce and an unexpected difficult move with toddlers over 100 miles away. I was able to negotiate the case and keep the client from harm from missing the deadline.”

A few years ago after a divorce I was forced to file bankruptcy. Due to all the negative comments you hear I was expecting it to be difficult & overall an unpleasant experience. Quite the contrary, James is highly skilled and knows bankruptcy inside & out! Unlike some attorneys I've had to deal with, he was always available and patient with me when it came to answering questions and/or explaining procedures. Totally down to earth and always pleasant attitude. Would highly recommend. Made an embarrassing experience a positive one!
