I contacted the New Orleans Bar Association and asked for a lawyer who participated in the Bar's Modest Means Program. Mr. Beasley came up and I consulted with him on a Saturday morning at his office. After explaining my situation to him and my desire to pursue bankruptcy he advised against it for me.... This stuck with me since he was putting what he believed were my best interests ahead of what would be a potential fee for him. I went ahead and pursued bankruptcy and he was very professional and helpful throughout the process.
