In 2012, the common goal of helping people with their personal legal needs brought me together with my law partner Tracy Hightower-Henne to form Hightower Reff Law.
A North Dakota native, I earned my Juris Doctorate degree from Creighton University School of Law in 2001, after graduating in 1997 from Creighton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. During my time at Creighton, I was captain of the women's rowing team and a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority.
Staying active in the legal community is important to me. I am a member of the Nebraska Women's Bar Association, Chair of the Nebraska State Bar Association's Juvenile Law Section, and is a former member of the Nebraska Bar Leadership Academy.
In 2015, I was honored to be published in the Nebraska Lawyer Magazine when I wrote about how the law led me to parenthood; Living at a Crossroads: My Experience as a Juvenile Court Attorney and Foster Parent, Nebraska Lawyer Magazine, September/October 2015.

I am so proud to be working as an Associate Attorney for Susan Reff at Hightower Reff Law in Omaha, NE. While I have know Susan for almost 6 years, I began working with her in September 2015. Since that time, Susan continues to impress me on a daily basis with her constant professionalism towards both clients and her colleagues, her knowledge of criminal law, and her ability to multitask and address numerous legal issues, big and small, throughout the day. Maybe the biggest testament to Susan as an attorney is her clients' satisfaction with her work -- I have yet to come across a client who doesn't walk away after working with Susan feeling like they have a zealous advocate fighting for them. I highly recommend Susan as a criminal defense attorney.
Scott Hahn Family Attorney
Susan and I have worked together for a number of years and I have full faith in her services. She is caring and has an clear and open demeanor with clients and other counsel. Susan's understanding of criminal, family and juvenile law make her someone I would turn to regularly for advice or counseling.
