She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas. While in her undergraduate program, Ali worked as a legal intern in various law offices throughout Kansas for many years. This allowed her to gain experience attending pre-trial negotiations and court appointments on behalf of family law clients. Her work also included drafting briefs, motions, and other documents to be filed with the court, including proposed parent plans, orders of paternity, divorce decrees, and motions to modify child support and custody.
