About me

Jon earned his law degree at Vanderbilt Law School in 2004 along with a certificate in business law in conjunction with Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Business.  He completed his undergraduate studies at Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in finance.

Following law school, Jon clerked at the trial court level for Judge Thomas Brothers in Nashville, Tennessee, after which he associated with the commercial litigation firm of Kay Griffin, Enkema & Brothers, PLLC.  He  moved back to his hometown of Kansas City in 2007 and opened his law practice.  He handles matters in a number of areas including estate planning, probate and trust administration, business law, non-profit law, intellectual property, and immigration.  He enjoys solving problems for individuals and small organizations, with a high level of client care.

Jon loves being married to his wife, Michelle, and they love living in Roeland Park, Kansas with their three daughters, and Leo--the dog.  Jon is involved in his church and endeavors to live out his faith in Jesus seamlessly across all areas of his life.

Jon is also a working actor with a long list of commercial clients, including John Deere, Kubota, Walmart, Applebee's, Hallmark, H&R Block, Garmin, and Dow.  He has also performed in musical productions at the New Theater, American Heartland Theater, the Chestnut, Quality Hill Playhouse, MET, and with the Kansas City Symphony.
