Additionally, they may or may not need the blood test results to pursue the case depending on field sobriety tests but it sounds as if those results will be skewed by an inability to perform certain tests (due to the ankle injury). That is the maximum range of punishment for a class A misdemeanor (1 year in jail and/or a fine not to exceed $1,000.00). Many times, tickets of this nature can be resolved without points being assessed against your driving record.
