I contacted Joe Passanise and Taylon Sumners for representation in February 2022. At the time, I already had a lawyer, but I was not getting the results I wanted, and I had lost confidence in my lawyer. An example as to why, was the prosecution kept bringing up new evidence which my lawyer did not ha...ve and that made it look like we were ill prepared, and didn’t even have all the facts to our case. As a result of their hard work, the prosecutor offered a plea deal, which Joe and Taylon discussed the merits of with me, and were further able to bargain for better terms for the deal. I eventually agreed to take the Alford plea and maintain my innocence. I remain grateful that I hired Joe and Taylon and if I could do it over, I’d chose them first!
