I contacted Joe Passanise and Taylon Sumners for representation in February 2022. At the time, I already had a lawyer, but I was not getting the results I wanted, and I had lost confidence in my lawyer. An example as to why, was the prosecution kept bringing up new evidence which my lawyer did not ha...ve and that made it look like we were ill prepared, and didn’t even have all the facts to our case. Once I hired Joe and Taylon, they immediately filed motions requesting all the information available to the prosecutor so that they were no surprises when we went to court, and we had all the information needed to create the best defense. We got all the information, and Joe and Taylon now my attorneys, scheduled a disposition to question the prosecutions witnesses and to get a clear understanding of what their side of the story was. Their thorough and in depth questions during the disposition brought out evidence showed weaknesses as well as flaws in the witness recounting and the case as presented. Taylon was not intimidated in court despite the judge’s feelings and notions towards the case. As a result of their hard work, the prosecutor offered a plea deal, which Joe and Taylon discussed the merits of with me, and were further able to bargain for better terms for the deal. I eventually agreed to take the Alford plea and maintain my innocence. I remain grateful that I hired Joe and Taylon and if I could do it over, I’d chose them first!

Joe & his team did amazing. I felt confident & secure. Saw firsthand his good relationship with the court & deep understanding of the process. Kept me well informed throughout. Did not waste time. Worked diligently for the ‘best’ outcome. Including taking pause to let the court process as best ‘it...’ could. (4 different prosecutors on my case at different times.) Joseph Passanise and his team were extremely professional, forthright, and friendly. In my past I did a good job of making a mess of my life by getting 2 DWIs within the same year with one resulting in a car crash with another vehicle. Joe and his team worked with me in order to get one of the charge...s dropped, unsupervised probation, and some community service despite facing jail time, and a 5 year suspension of my license.
