Darrion Anthony Walker

Darrion currently focuses his legal practice on helping people navigate the criminal justice system; He exclusively represents indigent clients in Kansas City who have been charged with jailable city ordinance violations, including but not limited to assault, traffic, DWI, stealing, drug possession, and weapons offenses. 

In addition to practicing law, Darrion enjoys the arts. If he is not at a local live theater or musical performance, it is not uncommon to find him spending a Saturday afternoon curled up on the sofa, sketching anything he sees (with a bit of classical, blues or jazz music providing some background inspiration). In addition to the arts, Darrion is an avid reader, getting lost in everything from biographies to Harry Potter. When able, Darrion loves to travel to new places, with his favorite place – so far – being Athens, Greece.

Experience:

Before joining the team at Legal Aid, Darrion owned and managed a solo law practice, where he focused his casework on a mix of injury, criminal, domestic, and employment cases. Immediately before launching his solo practice, Darrion was an assistant prosecutor for Jackson County, where he tried over a dozen bench and jury trials combined, and spent time in the General Crimes Unit mainly prosecuting felony drug and property cases.
