I had a car accident several years ago, I was pregnant and scared and didn't go to court. I gotten into another car accident in August and my anxiety was through the roof, I need a good lawyer who could help. I found Mr. Lurie in the yellow pages, I called his office and he personally answered the phone and took the time to talk to me and understand what I had going on and understood the high anxiety I was experiencing. Like he says good people make mistakes. Mr. Lurie's knowledge, compassion and confidence is what I needed and what he delivered. I would highly recommend him to anyone for anything, if he can't help you he knows someone who can.

I got a little unlucky a few years ago and found myself caught in a sting operation by the KCMO police. Needless to say, I was a nervous wreck. I found Mr. Lurie's listing in the yellow pages and called his office. He saw me the next day, and I knew I came to the right place. His knowledge of the KCMO legal environment was invaluable. He is easy to talk to and a good listener. I hired Mr. Lurie immediately. He took exactly the right steps to defend my case. To make a long story short, a few months later, he called me with some very good news -- my case had been dismissed.
Just recently, I called Mr. Lurie from out of state regarding an unrelated matter. I needed some advice from someone I could trust. He spoke to me on the phone for 20 minutes, without requesting a fee, just to help me out. That was the second time David Lurie made it possible for me to go on with my life. If you find yourself in legal trouble, I urge you to call his office.

I was an out of state client with know knowledge of the Kansas City courts or how to deal with my case. I felt completely lost and overwhelmed but was fortunate enough to find David Lurie. I could not have found a better person to help me in a tough time. He could have very easily taken advantage of me not knowing what to do, but very calmly and kindly walked me through all of my options. He spoke with a confidence that only his experience and skill could bring, and I felt more at ease the more he assured me that he knew what would be best for me. After leaving my case in Mr. Lurie's hands, everything I needed to do was clearly explained and he was there to help me with any questions. I never felt pressured or that my case was a burden to him, but instead was treated with respect. I greatly appreciate his help and allowing me to be able to move on from a mistake and live my life.
Cameron Cooper, DUI and DWI Attorney
Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter
David gets results on all types of cases by being very familiar with the courts, judges, prosecutors, and probation and other services providers in the criminal justice system. David is, hands down, probably the most respectable, compassionate, caring, and trustworthy attorney that I've encountered in Kansas City. I say that there is David's way, and then most everyone else's. There is no "one-size-fits-all" approach with him. David recognizes and addresses a client's livelihood, situation, background, and life plans in handling the most sensitive of criminal charges. David has both the conceptual and the procedural knowledge to either (a) know the answer, or (b) know how to find the answer in an ever-changing legal environment. With his knowledge, he is able to address, clearly and head-on, the prospects of success on a case, and the chances of achieving those different possible outcomes. David also helps his clients with the tools they need in order to cope
