To whom it may concern, I was involved in a complicated and protracted Worker's Compensation case some years ago, and the attorney that originally took the case had dallied around with it for years with absolutely no results. He even tried to settle the case against my wishes. Stating to me that the... case was unwinnable. So I fired him and began searching for a competent Injury Attorney, who practiced in the state of Missouri. During the course of my search, numerous attorneys, (not interested in my case for different reasons), recommended Mr. Halas. Bob Halas managed to accomplish more for me in mere months, than what my former attorney had accomplished in years. Although the case still took years to finalize, Bob afforded the opposition little rest, and no quarter. He constantly pushed for hearings, and kept me informed. His courtroom skills were very impressive. Even at the numerous meetings and depositions conducted outside the courtroom, he dominated the entire proceeding, every time. As a former law enforcement officer of many years, I've been in many courtrooms, and I can tell whenever an attorney is in over his head or not. When Bob Halas is speaking in the courtroom, he is in his element. He simply commands respect, and all present take heed. There is no doubt that he dominates his opposition with ease. By use of skills that comes only from years of experience. He doesn't need to wheedle or cajole, he simply states his case, and sets the courtroom narrative. For the final outcome, the judge followed Bob Halas' recommendation for settlement to the letter, as written by Bob. The judge's final award included absolutely everything we asked for, and contained none of the lesser offers made by the opposing attorneys. The court clerk even told me later, (in confidence), that all she had to do was to copy word for word, then change the title, heading, and signature of the final settlement recommendation, submitted by Mr. Halas. So after eight plus years, I was finally able to settle a claim that other attorneys had told me was highly unlikely to be resolved in my favor. When Mr. Halas took my case, I was hurt, I had lost my job and was physically unable to work. I was receiving no compensation, no monetary compensation nor even so much as providing me a physician. This situation had continued unabated for several years. I nearly lost my home and everything. Once Bob took the case, within a few months, I was receiving monthly compensation checks and healthcare. Even after multiple surgeries, I can never return to work, but I now receive monthly checks, and will for life. Bob Halas not only got me as good a settlement as was believed possible, (in fact much better than most thought possible), he continues to call me infrequently to check on my current well-being. Even though over ten years have passed since the case was settled, he still, to this day, checks on me. That, is uncommon in this day and age. In summation, let me assure you that Mr. Robert Halas, or "Bob" (as he prefers to be called), is NOT your average attorney. I have since had the opportunity to recommend him to other possible clients over the years, and will continue to give him my highest recommendation, to anyone needing an honest Injury Attorney. Bob Halas is rare, not only in his abilities as an attorney, but also in the levels of empathy and integrity he displays, which is not normally found in today's society.
