If you were hit at that rate of speed, you need to be sure you are not hurt. If you do experience discomfort, you should seek medical treatment. Sounds like you would benefit from a free consultation with a personal injury attorney in your area asap.

  • Do I need an attorney for a car accident in Virginia.

We are from Ohio on our way to virginia beach for vacation when we were rear ended on the highway. The insurance for the people that hit us have taken blame and said our car was totaled. They have reimbursed us for our rental so far, they have not...

    Zane’s Answer

If your family members are injured, you should be first concentrating on getting them the proper medical treatment. You should contact a personal injury attorney in Virginia to handle your claim and not talk to the insurance company until you have consulted a personal injury attorney. Generally, you can settle your property damage claim, but do not discuss injuries with the insurance company. It is important that injured persons seek a medical diagnosis and plan of treatment before even beginning to think about settling with an insurance company and thinking about lost money due to value of a vacation. Again, consult a Virginia car accident attorney as soon as possible.

You should contact a personal injury attorney in your area immediately. Personal injury attorneys generally work on a contingency basis meaning they are paid based on a percentage of the settlement or fee. Generally speaking, you should always hire an attorney if you have injuries.

  • Is this fair??

I had a car accident over 3 years ago where I was hit from behind. I got a call from my attorney today saying the insurance company offered a settlement of 22,000 and I would be awarded 3000. I feel that this is so unfair. I was hurt and my lost w...

    Zane’s Answer

Generally, when a potential client asks me, "Is that fair?" then I'm assuming they don't feel it is fair and while we may not fully understand "justice", my 5 year old understands fair. We all understand "fair". Ask your attorney about this. There is quite a bit more information that is needed to really answer your question and your attorney certainly knows the situation best. Sometimes there are factors beyond your attorney's control that limits an amount. Again, ask your attorney. If that's all they are able to get, they probably feel it is "unfair" as well, but there may be a limit to what he/she can do. Ask the questions.

  • What our my options

I got into a car accident and have no insurance how much does something like that cost and what can i do

    Zane’s Answer

There is a lot more information we need in order to begin to answer your question. First, if you were hurt, you need to seek medical attention. You should contact a Missouri car accident attorney immediately for a free consultation and provide quite a bit more information such as the date of the crash, whether it was a single car crash or a multiple car crash? police report? medical treatment? Again, impossible to attempt to answer question without more information. Visit the Find a Lawyer tab and look for a Missouri attorney if the crash happened in Missouri. Best of luck

  • Will I have better chances getting a lawyer who is not local to take on a malpractice case against a popular local doctor?

I'm looking for a lawyer. Should I be concerned that the local ones may run in the same circle, or be friends of the doctor who damaged me?

    Zane’s Answer

As other lawyers have previously said, you want to focus on first hiring a top medical malpractice attorney. In the consultation, they will tell you if they have a conflict or not but generally speaking, it is much harder to find a doctor to testify against another doctor than it is to find an attorney with a conflict. You also want to pay close attention to the statute of limitations for medical malpractice in your state.

Anyone can file a lawsuit, but it is not always winnable or feasible. Based on the information provided, it seems it may be difficult to prove damages. Consult a personal injury attorney in your area to discuss more at length.
