Daniel Bond has successfully litigated numerous high profile lawsuits for blue chip clients in a variety of fields, including cruise lines, social media, medical devices and implants, sporting goods, telecommunication products, consumer electronics, internet marketing, clothing, promotional products, and professional services. His practice encompasses a wide range of intellectual property and complex civil litigation matters, with a particular focus on trademark, copyright, false advertising, patent, Internet, trade secret law, right of publicity, privacy, contract, and tort law. He also has successfully litigated numerous class actions related to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Junk Fax Prevention Act.
Daniel’s experience extends to all stages of litigation, from drafting a complaint to receiving a jury verdict to post-trial motion practice and appeals. Daniel has also assisted clients in seeking expedited relief, including temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions, and in conducting alternative dispute resolution. Just as importantly, Daniel has provided counsel to numerous clients in non-litigation matters relating to trademark prosecution, false advertising and claim substantiation analysis, IP portfolio valuations, and a host of other transactional matters.
In 2015, Daniel was selected by Leading Lawyers as an Emerging Lawyer in Illinois, and maintains an active pro bono practice, often representing non-profit organizations in trademark, copyright, and commercial litigation. Daniel was honored to receive a Kirkland & Ellis Pro Bono Service Award for Outstanding Service each year from 2009-2015.
