What are you waiting for?

I got my 2nd DUI 2.5 years ago. The attorney I hired for the court case was borderline negligent - evasive, used confusing language, cracked jokes and did the bare minimum amount of work needed. He provided almost no suggestions for my case based on his supposedly 20+ years of experience in DUIs. ...Oh, and he DIDN'T KNOW THE LAWS regarding license reinstatement, telling me it would be > 1 year after my court case ended before I could even apply for an RDP, and that I would have to drive on an RDP for five years before I could be reinstated. I was revoked a week after the court case ended, and referred to Jennifer Wirth around that time; unfortunately I didn't call until 2 months later. In the first call, she gently chided me for not calling her immediately after my case ended, and said I was already eligible to apply for an RDP. Call her ASAP after your court case ends (though your RDP timeframes may vary)! 2.5 years later, I'm driving without a BAIID device in my car, after being reinstated ~6 months ago (following a period of driving on an RDP for a year). This is because of Jennifer. She is an expert in the entire driver's license reinstatement process, from RDPs to full reinstatement. She completed all the necessary paperwork for the SOS, provided me with study packets / checklists listing the documents and questions needed for the hearings, and scheduled time to rehearse the questions and answers. For those of you looking to handle the RDP / reinstatement process by yourself, don't. The Illinois process is like a second trial - you'll be appearing before an SOS rep (i.e. prosecutor) and hearing officer (i.e. judge), and they'll grill you if you aren't prepared. That's why most people fail the first time(s) through, and why hiring an attorney like Jennifer is worth it. In both of my hearings, I observed that she had a congenial rapport with many people in the SOS office, which is a good thing as it's a sign of the professional trust and respect the people on the other side of the table have for her. On a personal note, Jennifer is awesome to work with. The DUI legal process from the criminal to the civil side is arduous and crazy-making, and it helps a LOT to have someone who is experienced and nonjudgmental like Jennifer by your side. She's one of the more personable, down-to-earth and centered people I've met in any profession, and to repeat, nonjudgmental. To echo a lot of the reviewers here, she became a friend through this process. TL;DR version of everything above: Jennifer is an expert on the Illinois driver's license reinstatement process, she is ultra-diligent and ultra-competent in preparing and representing her clients, she's on good terms with the SOS office, and she's a friendly and nonjudgmental advocate. Your search is over, CALL HER NOW.

Regained my life

Jennifer saved my life literally. In my younger years, two DUI's left me with a revoked license. After one failed reinstatement attempt and 10.5 years without a license, I had resigned to not driving again. Jennifer provided a detailed step by step approach to address the reinstatement hearing during... the initial consultation. Jennifer was confident and gave me faith that my situation could be changed positively. We were successful at my second reinstatement hearing in 2010. (I wish I had her during the first hearing). I have been ticket free (no speeding or drinking) ever since. Jennifer started out as my amazing lawyer. She ended up saving my life. In that process, she is now a valued friend. I highly recommend Jennifer!

wonderful lawyer

Jennifer is very knowledgeable and committed to her practice as well as to her clients. she makes sure that you are well informed about what to expect from your case if you hire her. as I was one of her clients, she made me learn more about my case in order to teach me that we're working together to... accomplish the goal of getting my license back. she is very persistent and confident in her practice. I have recommended her to members of my family, not to say that my family has this problem a lot, but she has helped them as well. her prices are very reasonable considering the amount of work she puts in for her clients. if you need a lawyer to get you the best possible answer for your situation regarding your license, she's the one you NEED TO CALL!

Jennifer Josephine Wirth - DUI Attorney Review

As a result of my receiving a two separate DUIs I received a recommendation from my court appointed social worker to avail myself of Ms. Wirth's services to help me attain reinstatement of my driving privileges. In each case, I met with her and discussed in detail all of the processes I would need t...o fulfill, both the Secretary of State's requirements, and her requirements, as well as her fees. She provided me with recommendations of classes, DUI counselors, and emphasized the time periods needed to be completed. She monitored my progress throughout the performance of responsibilities. She made sure I had all of the required paperwork needed in order to apply and eventually appear before my Informal and Formal Hearings. She thoroughly explained the Informal and Formal Hearing processes to me. She prepared a list of questions that I would probably would be required to answer. She personally handled all of the filings needed in order to schedule and receive both the Informal and Formal Hearings, as well as making sure that I paid my fees required by the Secretary of State. We met several times to review the questions she had prepared and the answers I was giving. She explained to me that she would be allowed to ask me the questions at the hearings, and that the Hearing Officers would also be asking me questions. She explained what may be important to the Hearing Officers and also that the officers were not "out to get me", but were there to evaluate what I had learned. Jennifer made me feel at ease throughout the entire process, which I consider very important. She is very serious when she has to be, but has a good sense of humor. She responded to questions on a very timely basis, whenever I asked her. The bottom line is that I ended up receiving reinstatement of driving privileges both times, and I doubt that I would have been able to without her help. I cannot thank her enough.

Jennifer Wirth

I hired Jennifer Wirth as my lawyer after a brief conversation over the phone where she walked me through the process for applying to have my license reinstated. Straightforward and honest, I have received no surprises through the process. She has been extremely reliant and proactive. We had multiple... meetings as she help calm my nerves of going before the State. With her help I currently have a temporary driving permit and will be going before the State for full reinstatement in January. I highly recommend Jennifer Wirth for anyone stuck in this situation.
