In February 2014 I found myself in the midst of a contentious divorce, while at the same time fighting for the custody of my two minor children. As a father, I knew that the odds would be stacked against me, and to make matters even worse, my ex-wife had falsely accused me of doing some incorrigible acts in an attempt to gain an immediate advantage in the custody battle. I knew that I would be in need of the absolute best family law attorney possible. I was introduced to Alison Turoff, a family law attorney with the firm Kamerlink, Stark, & Powers, midway through my case. At the time I must admit I was a bit fearful because Alison was replacing another family law attorney at the firm who was relocating to another city; an attorney who I had spent much time developing a good rapport and overall comfort level with. However, all of my fears were for naught, as Alison seamlessly moved right in and hit the ground running. I found Alison to be extremely intelligent (her Northwestern University Law School education served her well), and took immediate notice of her strong abilities as a litigator and as an advocate for a father’s rights. Alison works extremely well with her clients in terms of her overall bedside manner, while at the same time being able to turn on a fierce bulldog mentality and persona while fighting for her clients in the courtroom. While Alison was able to grasp the intricate details and strategies of my complex divorce and custody cases, she was also able to improve upon them through the implementation of her own ideas using her past knowledge and experiences in the realm of family law. In the end I was eventually able to settle my case, and with Alison’s dedication to my specific needs as her client, and in addition to her overall efforts, I was able to obtain sole custody of my two minor children. I am sure it will only be a matter of time until Alison becomes a managing partner within Kamerlink, Stark, & Powers, but until then I would definitely recommend Alison Turoff to anyone wanting to use one of the best family law attorneys the state has to offer.
