Dale Bruckner has been a partner in the firm for more than 25 years. He is licensed to practice in the State of Illinois and is also admitted to the Bar for the State of Wisconsin on May 7, 2002.
Education and Background: Mr. Bruckner earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1974. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Kentucky – College of Law in 1977. He was licensed to practice law in Illinois in 1977 and has been licensed to practice law continuously since that time. Mr. Bruckner has been a member or the DuPage and Kane County Bar Associations as well as the Worker’s Compensation Lawyers Association. He was among the first attorneys in DuPage County to be certified as an Arbitrator and as a Mediator for the Circuit Court of the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit, DuPage County.
Mr. Bruckner’s practice concentrates in the areas of Workers’ Compensation, Commercial Real Estate transactions, Banking Law and Contract Law.
Work Experience: Upon graduating from Law School, Mr. Bruckner took a position as an Associate at the Chicago Law Firm of Rothschild, Barry and Meyers. In September, 1978 he transferred his practice to the firm of Peregrine, Stime, Newman, Ritzman & Bruckner, Ltd. in Wheaton, Illinois. He has continued his affiliation there on a continuous basis, to the present date. He has tried cases to jury verdicts in both DuPage and Kane Counties. He has represented both sellers and purchasers in complex real estate and business transactions including the sale of a shopping center at a price in excess of twelve million dollars. He has also represented numerous real estate developers and has participated in the closing of multiple real estate purchase/sale transaction with purchase prices in excess of two million dollars. In addition to appearing regularly before Arbitrators of the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, Mr. Bruckner has also prosecuted appeals through the full Workers’ Compensation Commission, the appropriate Circuit Court, and the Appellate Court for the State of Illinois with respect to Workers’ Compensation awards.
Personal: Mr. Bruckner was raised in Warrenville. He presently resides in West Chicago with his wife, Jacquelyn. His two sons have completed their education and reside with their families in Madison, Wisconsin and Chicago. Mr. Bruckner’s hobbies include long distance bicycling, photography and reading. He volunteers time and legal services to help address community and housing issues in the West Garfield Park neighborhood in Chicago.
