After being pulled over and having my license taken away as bond, and being told I needed to find a lawyer and make a court appearance, my mind was racing. I had no idea that at certain speeds over the limit can lead to misdemeanor charges, and even scarier, not just high fines but jail time?! As soon as I had a moment later that morning I just started blindly searching
online for some answers, half looking for relief/reassurance of
some kind. I came across the reviews on this site for Mr. Davis
and contracted him via email with the details of my situation.
He emailed me back and we set up some phone time for a
consultation. Although I was still anxious about the situation,
he was so kind and informative, and eased my nerves.
Between my unpredictable work schedule and chasing my two
year old around, emails were my preferred method of
communication, but since he was always great about
responding I never felt distanced just because we weren't
communicating on the phone instead. For the day of my court
appearance he gave me clear instructions of what to do and he went in to take care of everything. However, we had a bit of
a curveball thrown our way when we learned that my ticket and license had been lost by the court. He kept me informed and
calm as he continued to work on resolving the matter very
much in my favor. I hope I don't ever end up in the same situation but if I do, there is no one else I'd rather have by my

I received a speeding ticket for doing 31 miles per hour over the posted speed limit as I didn't see the reduction in speed signs to 35 mph when approaching the toll booth on the Chicago Skyway.
I initially believed that this would just result in a fine and traffic school to have it removed from my record so I was greatly surprised and concerned when I realized that it was a Class B misdemeanor that if on my record could affect my insurance rates and be seen by future landlords, employers, mortgage lenders, etc.
I requested consultation from various lawyers that I found online via their websites. Brandon was the only lawyer to return my request AND he contacted me on the same day I put in the request.
Even more importantly though - when Brandon contacted me, he didn't treat me like I thought a lawyer would - he didn't just tell me to pay a fee and say that 'he would try to take care of it'. Brandon talked to me like a person who had a problem and he wanted to help fix it. He listened patiently to all the details I gave him about the problem as well as all questions and concerns that I had. He then explained to me in detail all the steps that he would take to try and resolve the situation as well as doing his best to alleviate my concerns (e.g. letting me know that based on having a clean record that I wasn't going to be going to jail or paying the maximum fine that the misdemeanor carried). After speaking to him for 20 minutes I felt MUCH better about the entire situation. I was then assuming that his fee would quite substantial but was pleasantly surprised when he told me that he charged a flat rate that was a fraction of what I thought a good lawyer would cost for this type of situation.
In the month leading up to my court date Brandon was always readily accessible to answer all questions I had from whether or not I would have to have the charge expunged from my record to if I was required to wear a suit to court. I assume that he handles dozens if not more cases at a time, but I always felt like he was just 'my attorney'.
On the day of my court case he had me show up early to speak with him. Upon meeting he explained to me that he had already spoken to the State's attorney and they agreed to have the misdemeanor reduced to a petty offense and that I just had to pay the minimum fine and would be under court supervision for the minimum time frame - no traffic school or community service. He also got my case moved up on the docket - I was in and out of the Daley Center in less than 30 minutes.
After receiving my traffic ticket I was expecting that getting a lawyer and having to go to court to be an extremely frustrating and stressful experience. I consider myself very fortunate to have found Brandon to help me with the process. As I said in my review title, he is a great lawyer but he's also a great person to work with. He actually cares about his clients and puts them at ease during a rough time - you don't find that everyday. While I hope to never need his services in the future, if I do find myself in need of legal assistance he will be the first and only person I contact.

Mr. Davis and his firm represented me on a DUI in Cook County. At our first consultation, he took the time to explain the potential scenarios as well as the different aspects of the law. Mr. Davis answered all of my questions throughout the process and helped me stay grounded during this difficult time. The end result of my case couldn't have been any better and I would refer anyone in a similar situation to his office!
