Child support issues

Laura was referred by a lifelong friend who used her services, and spoke very highly of her. I consulted with Laura with my case and although the legal process is never quick enough for me, I got out of the way and let Laura do her job. Laura was attentive to my desires for my case and in the end my ...petitioner got the short end of the stick. My future legal matters will be handled by Laura as I was completely satisfied.

Outstanding lawyer

Laura was an amazing attorney. She answered any question I had with promptness and accuracy and never failed to give me the best advice. She got me a child support order on our first court date! I started receiving the funds through the state from my son's mothers paycheck almost immediately. I am a ...father with primary custody of my son thanks to Laura Horner.

GREAT Divorce Lawyer

Laura was always on point, knows the law from all angles, and represents herself and her clients with fervor. I just wanted to share my thank you text I sent to Laura right after the divorce was finialized: THANK YOU LAURA!!!! You are unbelievably great at what you do. You squeeze everything possi...ble out from all angles, all the while keeping your ethics and integrity on full display. It's impressive to see you run over another lawyer without crossing any lines. Thank you again for everything. I'll talk to you very soon.

Dedicated Family Lawyer

Court is a process. Statues & legal jargon. I'm a carpenter. Who now has full custody based on..... well me.... And Laura's knowledge, diligence and advice. She's a professional with incredible knowledge of Illinois Family Law, and exactly how all that legal jargon applies to the rest of us. It...'s a process... and it's not fun. But you best be prepared if you find yourself here. She's not a salesperson, she won't promise stuff just for a retainer. And she's not just available 9-5. Negative reviews? Not every case & person is.... let's say... A winner. Take it for what it's worth. I have my son everyday.

Waste of time and money

Laura initially came off as a very confident lawyer and reassured me that the issues I was having regarding my ex would be taken care of without any trouble. She acted excited and ready to go. As soon as my ex retained a lawyer, she seemed very intimidated by their high profile. After 1 year, nothin...g happened with my case except for motions being filed which went no further then just the filings. I would reach out to Laura multiple times about really important issues and most of the responses took weeks, if any response at all. She always made suggestions based off of what she thought the judge would think or how she would look whether it was helping my situation or hindering it. At one point, I started feeling like she was putting me in a worse position then before hiring her. Finally I decided to seek new counsel after going a solid year without any change in my case. After getting a new lawyer, I realized just how unorganized she was, even in her office. Her Secretary was nice but seemed to not know what she was doing. I'm not one to go out of my way to write reviews, but with the amount of money I wasted, I am hoping to save someone else a potential let down financially and mentally.
