On November 11/18/2020 my life turned into a nightmare, I was arrested and faced two class 1 felony charges. As soon as I had the chance to call a lawyer I called Stavri Vako and explained the situation, Stavri with no hesitation was willing to help me fight these charges, he even came to the police ...station where I was being held. Stavri was always straightforward with what I was facing, did not sugarcoat anything, and instead told me exactly what was going on and what our next steps were from there. Believing in my innocence, for 2 years and 2 months Stavri stuck by his word to help me clear my name of these 2 Felony charges. On January 23, 2023, I was contacted and notified by Stavri that the 2 felony charges were dropped, and was offered a plea deal; 1 count of Class A misdemeanor battery. I went from facing a minimum of 8 years of my life behind bars to serving no time and being charged with a class A misdemeanor. Thank you Stavri for always believing in my innocence and sticking to your word at all times.

I would not recommend Stavri Vako and I am considering filing a complaint with the Illinois Bar Association. I have an excellent driving record and recently received a minor speeding ticket. I believe the officer’s radar captured the vehicle that was passing me, not my car. We both had similar black... SUVs. I wanted to fight the ticket. I contacted three attorneys. The first two told me to save the legal fees, go to court and ask for supervision. Both said this was standard and, with my word against the officers, the court usually sides with the officer. Mr. Vako told me he could get the charge dismissed, so I hired him. On the day of court, I learned that I was already found guilty a week prior to my court date. Apparently, Mr. Vako never told me of the prior court date. It took several hours to get a new court time and it appeared Vako was making the Judge angry when he told him he “Fixed” the prior guilty verdict. Because I (or my attorney Vako) did not show up in court, the first time, I learned my license can now be suspended. Vako told me to watch for a letter from the Illinois Secretary of State suspending my license.

When I first learned I needed a lawyer, I put a lot of research into who's my best option. After some time of searching, I came across many positive reviews about Mr. Stavri Vako. So I thought I'd check him out. After only a half an hour's conversation with him I felt assured and confident about my s...ituation. Mr. Vako is a very good and intelligent lawyer and I'm lucky to have hired him. Not only is he great at his job, but he's a caring person as well. After losing my car I was at the lowest point in my life, so Mr. Vako gave me a ride home from the court house. At which point, I got to talk to him personally and learn how much of a kind, down to earth, and compassionate person he is. I'd highly recommend him to anyone who needs a highly effective and great lawyer and hope nothing but the best for him and his career.
