Jeremiah William Sisk

also known as Jerry Sisk

About me

Jerry Sisk has been handling and trying workers' compensation cases since 2003.  While workers' compensation insurers attempt to delay or avoid paying owed benefits to injured workers, Jerry has devoted his career to making sure his clients receive the compensation they deserve.

Earlier in his career, Jerry represented insurance companies so he knows first-hand how these companies defend against lawsuits by manipulating the legal system in their favor.  He knows what it takes to prove entitlement to benefits.  Because insurance companies have infinite dollars to fight your case they can hire expensive defense lawyers and investigators to assist in the denial of your benefits. Moreover, they can send you to their doctors to obtain medical reports which potentially can be used against you during your case.  Jerry understands this and works diligently to make sure that all the necessary steps are taken to win at trial.

Jerry grew up in Minnesota and spent all but his college years living in the Twin Cities.  When he was not participating in sports at Wayzata High School, he would be busy “flipping burgers” at his family restaurant.  In college, Jerry clerked for former Representative Jim Ramstad in Washington, D.C.   Jerry is a graduate of the prestigious James Madison College at Michigan State University and the University of Minnesota Law School.

Jerry is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Minnesota Association of Justice, and Anoka County Bar Association. He is also currently the Treasurer for the Anoka County Bar Association.  He is a contributor to the Minnesota Association of Justice Trial magazine, where he is published.  He is frequent presenter throughout the State of Minnesota on various workers' compensation topics.

Jerry, his wife, and three kids reside in Blaine, Minnesota.  When he is not chasing his kids around the house and coaching their activities, he enjoys snowboarding, woodworking, bicycling, and doing anything outdoors.

Jerry prides himself on representing members of the Minnesota workforce who have been injured on the job and need ethical, responsive, and zealous representation.  No commericals, no highway billboards - just great lawyering. Call today for a free consultation.

Jerry Sisk is an excellent workers’ compensation attorney. Bright, energetic and talented – he possesses the willingness to try cases when necessary- balanced by the discernment to resolve disputes amicably where appropriate. Guided by a good moral compass and possessing a solid set of technical skills, Jerry provides superb representation for his clients. Jerry possesses an able grasp of the intricacies of the complex Minnesota Workers’ Compensation law. Before coming to work at the Law Office of Thomas D. Mottaz, he spent 5 years working at the premier St. Paul insurance defense firm of Heacox and Hartman. There he learned the nuts and bolts of defending a case. This tutelage prepared him well for his position. In addition to providing zealous and capable representation to his clients, Jerry also presents at various seminars and he periodically writes for local legal publications.
