Jill Anderson is currently practicing exclusively in the area of family law with Brown Law Offices. P.A. Jill has represented numerous clients in various family law matters, including physical custody, legal custody, child support, property valuation and division, spousal maintenance, domestic abuse, stepparent adoption and paternity matters.
Jill earned her Bachelor’s Degree, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Northern Iowa and her Juris Doctorate from Drake University, where she was a Public Service Scholar. While attending law school, Jill worked as a Certified Student Attorney for various legal aid offices, including the former Legal Assistance of Washington County in Stillwater, Minnesota and Legal Aid Society of Story County in Nevada, Iowa. In addition, Jill served as Guardian Ad Litem in Drake's Children's Rights Clinic, providing legal advocacy on behalf of children involved with the Iowa Department of Human Services.
Jill is a former social worker who provided supervision, counseling and in-home services to families involved in child protection. Her work required extensive involvement in the juvenile court system and collaboration with attorneys, judges and Guardian ad Litems to determine what actions would serve the best interests of at-risk children.
Jill has always been passionate about public service. She currently serves as a volunteer attorney with Judicare of Anoka County, providing pro bono representation to low-income individuals. In addition, she is a volunteer visitation supervisor with Family Wise, serving the north metro.
As a result of her experience, Jill takes a compassionate approach to representing her clients and understands the diverse and unique circumstances leading clients to her office.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter
I have worked with Jill on several family matters. She zealously advocates for her clients, while conducting herself in a respectful and courteous manner, where she is clearly working to achieve the best result for her clients, while respecting the process and not over-billing to unnecessarily protracting the litigation.
