I understand that clients coming into my office are living through very stressful times in their lives.  Whether going through a divorce or custody case, facing criminal charges or trying to heal from an injury while worrying about their future.  There is no easy visit to a lawyer's office.

At Kelsey Law Office we take a practical approach to your case.  Of course, a negotiated settlement without the time and expense of court is the best alternative and we will, from day one, try to make that a reality in your situation.  However, in the event that is not possible, we will walk you through every step of the legal process from initial hearing to trial.  We will fight for your interests and we will pursue your goals.  That's our job.

      Michelle Lea-Atkinson Kelsey's response: It is difficult for an attorney to respond to a client's concerns when the client chooses to leave vague comments anonymously. Often clients believe that their legal situation should be "easy" or is "uncontested" and that it should be done quickly and without disagreement. More often than not, that is not the case. In order for a case to be "easy" both parties have to agree. One party being what they consider to be reasonable does not mean the other party sees it that way. In those situations, the attorney's job is to zealously represent their client. Sometimes clients have a hard time accepting that the other party is not willing to settle as they would like and that conflict is inevitable. After all, if the parties easily resolved conflicts they may not be in the process of divorcing.
