Second DUI Reduced – Highly Recommend Jake Wiese

I had a great experience working with Tracey Wood & Associates, especially attorney Jake Wiese. He was able to get my second DUI reduced to a reckless driving charge with just fines, which was an incredible outcome. Jake was extremely informative throughout the entire process. He took the time to ...answer all of my questions, explained everything clearly, and made sure I understood what was happening at every step. He was always friendly, approachable, and very open about my case, which made a stressful situation much easier to handle. I truly appreciate his professionalism and dedication, and I would highly recommend both Jake Wiese and Tracey Wood & Associates to anyone in need of legal representation.

2 Felonies TO 2 Misdemeanors: the impossible feat! A high bar set, a high bar gained! Trust that they will turn over every stone

Couldn't be more happier with Tracey Wood & Associates! I had utilized their services in 2024 from a case stemming from 2022, and was first taken aback by the higher cost when compared to others I researched. I had a pretty stupid case that needed some strong defense. There was a lot at stake in a Wi...s county that is known for their unwillingness to negotiate. I had so much at stake that I decided to hire these folks on and pray that the saying "you get what you pay for" would ring true... My case was split into two: A felony for a 2nd Small Amount (Of marijuana) in a lifetime, and a felony for a potential 4th DUI (from THC in my blood). Joshua Hargrove represented me in my first case, and was always timely and informative. The majority of this case was done via Zoom. Eventually, we were able to plea this down to a misdemeanor with probation. Needless to say, I was extremely grateful that we were able to avoid one felony that would end up haunting me forever. For the second case, I would have Gibson Hatch. Again, much of this one was done via Zoom, which actually saved me a lot of money, but when in-person appearances were needed, Mr Hatch was always dressed sharp and was timely in appearance. This case took longer and was more drawn out than the first. Mr Hatch and their team worked long and hard to find a position on this case. They were always forthcoming with any updates or discussions they had with the prosecutors in the case and were honest when they had no positive information to share with me. By God's good grace they found a small error in one of my past DUI convictions and managed to use that to eventually pursuade the prosecution to change my charge to a 3rd - Driving with a controlled substance, which I pled to a Misdemeanor rather than a felony. I must say, the money was worth every penny! Tracey even got involved for a portion at the end where we had some issues with that county! At one point, I feel like I had everyone in this company fighting on my behalf! They always listened if I ever had any complaints or concerns, and they responded quickly and with good manner. The things I complained about were pretty simple but I felt were good things to bring attention to, because when you are new or not used to this type of atmosphere or process, things need to be dumbed down a bit at times. Either way, no matter what the question or concern, either Tracey or her partners would address it happily. You can tell Tracey takes this seriously and hold her company to a high standard of service! I would recommend you to hire Tracey Wood & Associates if you ever are in need of a good representation. I felt I was treated fairly and without discrimination of any type. I felt they had a good working relationship with the prosecution and DA, which is also very important if you are trying to get a good resolution. There was a period where I wasn't sure if they would be able to reach the bar I had set, in terms of the actual conviction at the end, but they were always completely honest about that, and always were open to any suggestions or questions I had to offer. Though it took much longer for this review to be placed, I appreciated everything they did for me, and to date I live with the outcome of their hard work and dedication. Thanks so much!

Excellent consultation

I asked Attorney Wood to explain a Wisconsin law whose wording is somewhat ambiguous to ensure I did not come even close to violating it. (It would not be an issue in my state or most other states.) The consultation was well worth the fee because now I understand clearly what I can and cannot do with... regard to this issue under WI law.

charges dismissed

Ms. Wood's firm represented my husband on sexual assault charges. The accuser was lying. Everything dismissed.

The best law firm in Wisconsin!!

I must say that this has to be the best law firm in Wisconsin. I am an out of state driver who was accused of an OWI 1st and a refusal. I contacted several attorneys the day after the incident and Tracey was the only one that instilled a since of confidence in me. I was sure this was the right practi...ce to help me. The firm immediately started working on my case and sent me copies of all the reports and videos associated with the incident for my input and filled motions in my case. They answered any questions I had with the patience and really took the time to listen which is something that is very welcomed during one of the most stressful moments of my life. They really made me feel that my case was in the best possible hands and that they actually cared about my outcome. The attorney in charge of my case was Sarah Schmieser and she was amazing. Her knowledge of my case and her advice gave me a newfound confidence that I would have a favorable outcome to my case. She was always ready to answer any questions and provide me with all possible outcomes of my case. We initially received an offer from the D.A. that was good but not great. After consulting with Sarah, I decided to not take the offer as I knew that if I fought the charges I had a very good chance of having them dismissed. After advising the D.A. that we would not take the offer, he contacted Sarah a few days later and stated that after reviewing the evidence he decided to dismiss the refusal and reduce the OWI to a lesser charge. When Sarah advised me of the offer I felt a tremendous sense of relief and I could tell that Sarah was genuinely happy that she was able to obtain such a favorable outcome for me. The old cliché of "you get what you pay for" couldn’t apply more than in situations like this. Tracy Woods and her team are not cheap but I can attest that you get the most professional and dedicated team of attorneys that you could not only pay for but also hope for. They were able to have charges dismissed and reduced in a state where that is an extremely difficult thing to do. I thank Tracy and Sarah and the rest of the team who are also wonderful for making what seemed the impossible, possible. Thank you to everyone on Tracy's team as you guys are awesome!
