His reputation precedes him

Mike was referred to me by a friend, who is also a criminal defense attorney, because of his reputation as a great trial lawyer in Milwaukee County. I never intended to take my case to trial, there was no question of my guilt. However, Mike's many years of experience and knowledge of how to best wo...rk with the DA's office, and present a strong argument on my behalf to the judge, brought about the best possible outcome. I have no doubt that if I had representation by anyone else I would've spent time in the prison system.

He was very honest and up front with me

I had my first ever criminal case and Atty Steinle helped me every step of the way and very honest with me about what the possibilities are and the route of action we were going to take.

Honest and Knowledgeable Lawyer Providing Superior Representation

Mike Steinle is without a doubt one of the best Criminal Defense Lawyers in the State of Wisconsin. I hired Mike after I was arrested for Felony Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana in Ozaukee County. At the time of my arrest, the political landscape of Ozaukee County was about to change ...drastically. Mike was knowledgeable of these events and executed a plan of action that gave us the best opportunity possible to obtain the most desirable outcome. Recently following my arrest, the incumbent judge presiding over his bench had just lost re-election. Due to this series of events, there were concerns as to how the new judge was going to sentence certain cases when he took the bench (the presiding judge had a couple of months left to serve before the new judge was sworn in). At all times, Mike kept me aware of how the situation was unfolding and was responsive to any questions I had. Mike was able to fast track our preliminary and status hearings in order for us to obtain a sentencing date that would put me in front of a reserve judge (once a new judge is sworn in they spend the first month in "judge school" and watch cases from the jury box as a reserve judge holds their seat - a reserve judge is usually a retired judge or a judge that holds a title within another sector of the judicial system). Along the way Mike had arranged several dates and times to sit down with the District Attorney in an attempt to obtain a plea deal that would satisfy both parties. Prior to the sentencing date, Mike and I had met to discuss our final proposal to the legal system and he re-advised me of all the possible outcomes - both good and bad. On the day of sentencing Mike was able to obtain, in my opinion, the absolute BEST possible outcome we could have hoped for. Mike provides superior representation and is worth every penny that was paid to obtain him. He will tell you things, at times, that you don't want to hear, but he does it with the intention of educating his clients to the best of his ability. He is extremely trustworthy and has the track record to prove it.
