Michael Kopp was a god sent to me when i encountered several speeding tickets a few weeks apart after not having any in years. referred to me from several family members who he did a great job representing them on speeding tickets. being a firefighter and medic i could not afford to have a bad drivin...g record. Michael got my tickets reduced to non moving violations and saved me from explaining my actions. After being told by the officer that my points for a speedling violation would not transfer, I paid the OUTRAGEOUS fine and went on my way expecting my record would remain clear. Great experience. He made the process quick and easy and went out of his way to accommodate my work schedule by meeting me near my apartment to accept payment. I would have had to walk 2 miles in some rather unfavorable weather if he did not do that for me. I received a speeding ticket for going 1...7 mph over. I could have gotten my license suspended in both IL and WI as I had an IL license but got the ticket in WI. He was able to reduce the ticket to a moving violation in both states and while my fine didn't decrease (he never said that it would) I avoided another strike on my IL license and received 0 points in the state of WI.

I was driving home from work on 94 from Oak Creek into Milwaukee. The speed limit is 55 mph, but traffic normally flows closer to 70-75 mph. I was not paying attention to my speed, but was driving a bit faster than traffic. I was stopped for Speeding (85 in a 55), and my citation was 6 points wit...h a $360 fine. I was also informed because I was travelling more than 25 mph over the speed limit, I would be given a 15 day suspension which would require a $60 reinstatement fee. I was told by a different Attorney that the District Attorney is usually unwilling to provide a reduction for speeding past 25 mph over the speed limit, and the best I could hope for was a reduction to 24 over to avoid the suspension. Mike was able to get my ticket reduced to a defective speedometer! My $360, 6 point speeding ticket became a $400, 2 point defective speedometer ticket. The increase of $40 is nothing compared to how much my insurance would have increased my premiums for a 6 point ticket with a suspension!
