My OWI [2nd] experience

I was expecting to have to go to jail for this. Huber, ancle braclets, ignition lock but Mr.Bayer looked at the case and said I had a shot at beating it because of the dash cam video in the sheriff's car. I was still not to optimistic but it was worth a shot. The court made a mistake on my first appe...arance but the judge would not accept Mr. Bayer's dismissal motion. Then covid hit so we had a few rechedualings. Dec.9 was the next in person hearing and the court made another mistake and Mr. Bayer ,again, went for a dismissal but explained to me that ,if accepted the DA could just recharge me. I was not to optimistic again but the judge went for it! He took a 10 min. break and the DA and Mr. Bayer had a conversation that I couldn't here. I was floored when he came back and said the state will drop ALL OWI charges if I accept a reckless driving ticket, which I did [of course!] I could not be happier! I really did not think this could happen. I'm very impressed and greatfull to Mr. Bayer and will absolutely recommend him to any of my friends and family. Or anyone else who needs a lawyer. Thank you so much, John. Sincerely, Dave Q.

Highly recommend

I highly recommend John as a lawyer. Anytime I had any questions he was there to answer them and discuss on a timely manner. He always offered suggestions to what I should and shouldn't do with my case and was always honest and upfront.

Great Attorney - Hire Him

I am an Illinois driver that was arrested for OWI, Operating w/PAC, and Deviation from Designated Lane. Trying to find an attorney while out of state and trying to figure out the difference/consequences that will result from Illinois with Wisconsin charges was very scary. I am also a Type 1 diabeti...c that was having trouble with a new insulin pump that I felt that could have played a factor in my situation as I did not have that many drinks, I called several attorneys that did not think I had a case or I did not feel that they would represent me the way I felt I needed. Thankfully one of them suggested I contact John Bayer. I called John and right from the start I felt confident in the way he was talking about my case and the way he was communicating with me. I hired him. It took nine months for my case to get a trial date. John represented me in all the pretrial motions and did not require me to travel back to Wisconsin. He kept in contact with me via phone and email and I felt up to date on everything that was going on. John was meticulous in the way he reviewed the video footage and documents in order to best represent me. The trial finally arrived and it took 3 days. But everyday when I left the courthouse I felt confident in the way John was representing me. John is easy to talk to, listens well, communicates well, and does everything he can to represent you to the best of his ability. He even found an expert witness for my case. When the jury went to deliberate I felt that whatever they decided I was confident in my decision to hire John Bayer and knew he did everything he could to represent me. I was found not guilty on OWI and Operating w/PAC. The jury did find me guilty of Deviation from Designated Lane (there was a video of this), This was the best outcome I could have wished for. If you have the need to hire an attorney for an OWI or similar charges I would recommend you hire John Bayer. He is a great attorney.

Best Lawyer you can find, one that actually cares!!!

I was wrongfully accused of an OWI while also on medication. I don't have much money, everything goes to my family for survival. So how could I afford an attorney to prove my innocence? John! He came highly recommend from other big expensive law firms when I called and he worked with me on every paym...ent and every detail. HE CARED!! Being found guilty would have left my family on the street and our lives ruined. Thankfully that didn't happen. With Johns hard work and commitment, I am happy to say that my time in court was heard and I was found not guilty. I owe John so much more than he could ever know. I know he was just doing his job, but honestly nowadays its hard to find people to even do that. If you want a lawyer who cares about you and your case! If you want a lawyer to actually pick up his phone when you call! If you want a lawyer that wants to win! CALL John T Bayer

My Superhero

On March 6th 2016 I was charged with OWI 3rd offense, operating after revocation and first time controlled substance charges stemming from a traffic stop in Marshfield. I initially hired Jared Redfield out of Stevens Point who ended up being buddies with the prosecuting attorney in my case. I fired R...edfield after he helped his former co-worker out at my Preliminary hearing then I immediately retained Mr. Bayer. John Bayer personally sat down with me on a Saturday to relieve some of my stress and we reviewed the squad car DVD s and police reports together. John Bayer typed notes through this entire process preparing his defense. Mr. Bayer taught me many things that day and sent me home feeling hopeful. Immediately after Mr. Bayer received the rest of the discovery from the state he introduced a motion to "suppress evidence derived from unlawful stop and unlawful search of vehicle". In the motion John cited awesome case law which pertained to my case. After researching each of the cases that he cited, I knew I had hired a brilliant and smart attorney whose actually going to fight for me. In the motion John challenged Officer Caleb Bornbach's probable cause for the traffic stop and found all the discrepancies between the lying officers statement versus what actually took place in the videos. Shortly after John introduced his motion, the court scheduled a motion hearing. The Friday before John was about to make the Marshfield Police look like incompetent liars, the prosecuting attorney kept calling him with plea bargains. After I refused the DA's offer twice John called again and told me "the DA will dismiss everything including the OWI if you plea to operating after revocation." John found a defense for every single charge except OAR which I admitted to and which was unavoidable. The case had been pending for over a year so Instead of proceeding with a motion hearing I took the sweet plea that this man fought for. John will never actually know what he did for me and how grateful I actually am. Had I got convicted of this OWI for the low amount of THC in my blood, I would have lost my license for several more years. I'm proud to say that I haven't smoked marijuana since this day and after the case closed I was immediately eligible for my occupational license after not driving for 3 years. Because of John I feel pride when I legally pick up my only infant daughter from day care. I took a gamble hiring John and from the bottom of my heart, he is the best thing vie ever paid for with my tax dollars. If I could have someone on my team for the rest of my life, it would be John.
