OWI 2nd Offense/Amazing Outcome

My case started in the spring of 2021 and I have to admit there were plenty of times that I just wanted to throw the towel in and admit guilt although everything was done incorrectly. John never allowed me to give up hope, with his expertise and years of dealing with cases he told me his honest opin...ion about the situation. He was able to find various issues with the way procedures were conducted. My case started with the cops trying to pull me over in an area that didn't have a shoulder or emergency lane, I put my hazard lights meanwhile I found a safe area to pull over. Once I pulled over I stayed in my car trying to find my registration and pulling up my insurance card and I was yelled to get out of my vehicle. I came out with my arms raised and almost immediately the police officers wouldn't let me explain why I didn't pull over. I explained I had didn't feel safe, that I didn't speed, that I put my hazards and when I pulled into the business I put took them off and put my right directional light on to inform them every step what I was doing. No explanation was enough and after passing 2 of the field sobriety test and missing 2 clues on the 3rd I was arrested. My whole life and career was on the line and after researching lawyers and talking to a couple none of them came close to giving me time to explain my situation without wanting money right away. John understood my circumstance and was patient with me, he's not just a lawyer wanting another case to gain experience or personal benefit. He is a man that cares about his clients and will always be honest, even if the truth is not what you want to hear. Meanwhile my case went to court John advised me of various actions to ensure the case wouldn't continue to be pushed to the right as well as motions that helped build my defense. The day came to start the trial and I was blow away by the attention to detail John demonstrated. During the trial John showed he knew the footage and procedures better than the officers questioned as well as the prosecution. The outcome was Not Guilty on ALL counts!!! I was so shocked that I leaned over and asked him if I really heard Not Guilty and he smiled and said YES!!! Listen I have never written a review in my life, not even about amazing restaurants but it was his previous reviews and his personality that lead me to chose him. Your BEST CHOICE is to chose John, someone that wont just see you as a $$$ but as a person that needs proper expert representation. Thank you so much John!

Atty John Bayer- Best 1st Offense OWI Counsel Choice We Could Have Made!

There is a never ending list of good things to say about Atty. John T. Bayer. A family member of mine needed representation and after a thorough search of many lawyers we retained him based on his fair fee, honest and kind demeanor, and prompt attention to our initial contact. He was able to take th...e worst time of our life and helped to see light while guiding us through a complicated legal process. John far exceeded our expectations of an OWI defense attorney. He responded to our initial inquiry within minutes of us leaving a voicemail. He was honest with what his expectations were with this case and patiently walked us through every step of the process. We were scared and my family member was faced with the loss of a CDL license needed for work to support the family. This isolated mistake had the potential of devastating, life-altering consequences. OWI 4th

Two years ago late February, I decided to go out to a local bar for some drinks and pizza. With it being Wisconsin and end of February we had plenty of snow on the ground. Upon my arrival at the bar I parked my vehicle not realizing that I parked up onto the snow covered sidewalk. Cops were called by... the owner of the building as I was drinking in the bar for about 40 minutes. The officer decided to take me out from the bar and instead of giving me a ticket for parking on the sidewalk, decided to charge me with a felony fourth OWI. I could not believe what was happening! After posting bail I was on a search for a great attorney to fight for me. I found that attorney here at Bayer Law. John had me in the office later that day for a consultation. When my fiance and I entered we knew we were in good hands and he was going to fight for a non guilty verdict. He immediately started working on my case as he knew I had so much to lose if convicted. Mike and John worked hard to go through the body cam footage to come up with our best defense. The first time I saw John in action during my preliminary hearing I knew I had the best lawyer in my corner. He legally attacked the officer on every angle. He even got the officer to admit under oath certain statements which then proved in the police report found being untrue. After over two years of fighting my case we finally had our day in court. Through all this time John and Mike remained in touch with me. John would take the time explain everything to me so I understood what was going on and what will happen. Their law office even had their assistant, Kristina, call me to make sure I was prepared if I was found guilty and any resources I might need. Our day in court finally happened. The proceedings were nerve racking to say the least, but I had complete faith in my attorney. At first I was not going to testify as I knew they would bring up how many convicted crimes I had, but I knew as did my attorney, that I had to tell my story. John Bayer advised me the day of, as he did multiple times before, that testifying is completely my choice. He gave me advice before testifying and told me I would do good, just tell the truth. At closing arguments, John had my back letting the jury know that a simple traffic ticket should not have turned into an OWI charge, it is unjust. The best two words I could hear were being told "Not Guilty" on both counts. John was always professional inside and outside the courthouse, listened to my concerns and questions, and most of all showed me compassion and support through the whole process. Although this situation is not ideal, I would still have chosen John and the team at Bayer Law Offices to represent me. John is an amazing attorney and person. If you find yourself in a situation like this hire John. He will be there every step of the way and fight to the end for the best outcome for your case! Thank you John and Mike!

I will preface by stating I NEVER write reviews, even if there's compensation for doing so. John is the best - very communicative, very understanding, and will explain everything very clearly so your understanding is where it needs to be. I feel as if my first experience with law enforcement made me ...feel like a terrible, guilty person (all over a victimless crime); and I didn't know much at all. Yet when I met John upon a referral I immediately knew and felt that this was the guy I did not deserve. I am beyond thankful for the very very positive outcome in my case (which lasted 2 years) and it is all thanks to John. This is a man that will fight for you through the entire process. OWI Second/Refusal

I cannot say enough good things about attorney Bayer. I was charged with a second OWI and refusal and since this is a criminal charge, felt I needed to hire representation. I interviewed 5 attorneys before deciding on John Bayer, and it was an easy decision. From our first conversation I could tell J...ohn was very knowledgeable and an expert in his field. Yet at the same time he talks to you like a person and friend, not just another client. He spoke on my level and put everything in layman's terms. From there he took care of everything, and kept me informed on what was happening. He understood how important this was to me, and how it could effect me professionally and fought hard for me. He filed a motion to dismiss evidence based on the video we had. The court agreed with everything John argued, and we won the motion. After this he motioned to have the charges dismissed and the court granted dismissal. John was able to get the OWI Second and the Refusal charges dismissed. I cannot express how grateful I am to have had attorney Bayer represent me. He is a true professional in every sense and I would recommend him to anyone that needs his services. Thank you John!
