About me

Charles is of counsel with Halloin & Murdock, S.C. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His practice focuses on complex insurance recovery, exclusively on behalf of policyholders, and commercial litigation.

Charles successfully has represented individuals and businesses, from sole proprietors to Fortune 100 corporations, in matters valued from less than $10,000 to more than $100,000,000. He successfully has handled a broad array of issues, including issues of insurance coverage, commercial, real estate, construction, environmental, personal injury, intellectual property, professional malpractice, consumer protection, and admiralty and maritime law.

Charles attended Marquette University Law School, where he served as an editor for the Marquette Law Review, earned several academic honors, including multiple honors for legal writing, and graduated in the top 10% of his class. He subsequently honed his legal skills serving as a law clerk at the Wisconsin Supreme Court, a litigation and appellate lawyer at some of Wisconsin’s preeminent litigation firms, and amicus counsel for Wisconsin’s largest voluntary bar organization. In doing so, he developed an exceptional record of success on behalf of his clients—a record reflected in numerous published decisions. As a result, Charles has become a go-to resource for novel and complex issues of state, federal, and foreign law and has earned several professional honors, including repeated recognition by Wisconsin Super Lawyers as a Rising Star, the top honor the publication awards to lawyers age 40 and under.

Charles and his wife, Amanda, live in Jacó, Costa Rica and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In his free time, Charles enjoys spending time with his family and friends, surfing, studying Spanish, running, reading, and traveling.
