Will and Power of Attorney

We were referred to Mr. Shaw in order to update our wills. We also added Power of Attorney and Medical Power of Attorney documents. We found Mr. Shaw to be both personable and professional. We felt that he provided us with appropriate expertise and performed his duties in a timely manner. We would ha...ve no trouble recommending him to friends or family.

He made it easy and painless to write a will

Having a will written seemed like a complicated and difficult task, but Melvin O. Shaw made it quick, easy, and relatively painless (it is still thinking about what happens when you or a loved one dies, afterall). He patiently answered all of our questions as he walked us through the decisions that ...needed to be made, and had resources to share for the decisions we weren't able to make in the moment. But most importantly, he made us feel comfortable throughout the process (which I had been dreading and put off for years!). I'm sure many lawyers could have accomplished the legal requirements for writing our wills - but the warmth, the ease in conversation and quick response to our needs, was far from typical. I'm thankful for the referral that brought us to his office!

a good experience buying and selling property

I was referred to Melvin by another attorney because I needed help with a real estate transaction that was more complicated than usual. Real Estate Matters
