Scott Michels is the best attorney that I have ever had representing me. H e always staid five steps ahead and thought everything out thoroughly. Sent 1500 for retainer for him to represent my fiance for a revocation of probation hearing for not staying in contct with his p.o. for a drug charge in 2014. A warrant was issued & had a court hearing coming up on 7-28-17. He suggested that he get an evaluation from a treatment facility & to himsel...f into an inpatient rehab program. The earliest he could even get into anywhere local for an eval wasn't until end of august so he called a drug treatment call center & they did an eval over the phone, and matched him with a facility out of state, signed him up to be admitted & purchased his plane ticket all in that one phone call; which was scheduped for the very next day. He called him & told him of what had just been arranged for treatment. Scott said he had to talk to p.o. & county prosecutor for approval & would get back to him. Next day after 11 a.m. he calls to notify him that neither one would agree to him going into treatment. This is 3 hrs before I am supposed to board a plane! He was doing exactly what he suggested/advised him to do. He decided to go ahead with treatment- got paperwork sent stating he was in an inpatient program under Dr.'s care sent to his lawyer, prosecutor,& p.o. & immediately after that being sent my lawyer, Scott Michaels withdraws himself from my case- which was 1 week before hearing. Not an attorney you can count on for representation!! & sounds like i am getting $1000 back from the $1500 I had sent for a couple of phone calls!! Definetly did not have$500 in charges for a couple of phone calls! Had found him by researching attorneys online- Definetly do not recommend finding attorney this way!! Hopefully this will save someone else a lot of grief & money!! Beware!!
