I am an attorney with a passion for protecting children and animals. In both my law practice and my non-profit work, I seek to better the protections for both and to educate others about how they can do the same. I have an undergraduate degree in Wildlife Biology. I have spent much of my life in the company of animals - both domestic and wild.

I live in Homestead Township in the heart of Benzie County, Northwest Michigan. Since I live here, I know the community, the businesses and the people. If you live in and around Honor, Michigan, or have a vacation home in the area, I can help you out.

Family Law
We provide legal advice and services to individuals with issues involving child custody, child support, divorce, parenting time, grandparent visitation, and spousal support.

Probate Law
Our law office handles probate matters, from beginning to end. We guide our clients through the probate process with compassion and the least amount of stress.

Real Estate Law
We handle all aspects of real estate law, including the buying and selling of real estate. We also handle landlord/tenant matters.

Commercial and Non-Profit Law
We will help create and organize your company's legal structure and provide advice on how to operate it. That includes legal advice on best business practices, best employment practices, and drafting contracts for services, and products. We work with businesses, nonprofit organizations, and other organizations. 

Animal Law
We represent pets and their guardians in all types of situations, including injury and discrimination. Our team also teaches animal cruelty investigation to animal law officers, humane agents, humane organizations, and individuals concerned about animal welfare.

Review for Catherine L Wolfe
Ms. Wolfe was there for me as my lawyer in every sense of the word. My case involved a gay marriage/divorce. Although she had not handled one, she did extensive research on the subject. My ex had a very difficult to work with male attorney. Catherine stood right in there and went toe to toe with him. I was very pleased with the settlement and her expertise. She even talked about different emotions and feelings I might experience at different points along the way and she was right at every turn.

Mediation win
After trying to handle a custody case without representation, I decided it would be in my best interest to get a lawyer. Catherine Wolf helped me every step of the way from consultation and phone calls to helping me at mediation. We were able to keep this out of court which saved me a lot of time and money.

Timely and Effective
Catherine was professional from the first phone call to the last email, and all correspondence in between. I called her out of the blue when she was referred to us by a friend, also an attorney, but out of state, so recommended the best suited attorney for our issue, in Michigan. Catherine patiently listened as I explained our plight, and we had a looming deadline for a complicated filing - within days! She recognized the urgency and seriousness of the litigation we brought before her, went above and beyond to provide advice to us and work with the opposing attorney not only defer the deadline, but also to ensure we ended up with a fair and equitable settlement. She worked diligently on our behalf to create an effective defense that resulted in a more speedy settlement for all parties to avoid going to court. Being from out-of-country, Catherine was generous with her advice on how the US court system worked, especially in the State of Michigan, and the best way for us to defend our position and avoid judgement in the law suit. Probate Honor Michigan
Have never had to hire a lawyer before. Ms Wolfe was very specific and clear on what I had to do to complete all phases of this probate situation. My mother passed away in one county, lived in another county, and owned a home in a third county. Not to mention that I lived in a forth county. Ms. Wolfe handled this in a reasonable amount of time at a fair cost. Would definitely recommend her.

Real Estate Issue
We live in East Lansing; have property in Interlochen. A friend up there recommended Catherine when my wife and I decided to sell. Catherine navigated us through a maize of land contract complications and setbacks caused by the buyer to a satisfactory conclusion. We highly recommend her.

Wisdom and Professionalism
Very informative, always on top of my case, and informed me of any changes, and or court dates. Very easy to talk with and always made sure I understood what was going on. Her assistant at the time was also up to date on anything I needed. I would highly recommend talking to her for a consultation. My life has taken a 360 deg. turn for the better, after our case was finished. I don't know what I would have done with out her wisdom and professionalism.
