Mike did a fantastic job handling my OWI case. Even though pleas aren't normally offered for any bac over .12 (mine was) he still got it dropped to a impaired and made sure I kept my license. I hired Mike Bartish to represent me in an OWI case afer being referred to him by a family member who worked at a large law firm in Grand Rapids. It was the best advice I was ever given. I was charged with OWI after being pulled over for an "equipment violation" on my truck after driving home from ...a party. I took the field sobriety stests and PBT as requested and was arrested. Mike reviewed the video of my arrest and pointed out a bunch of mistsakes the officer made during the road tests and PBT that he thought he could get the case dismissed. Mike tried to convince the prosecutors to dismiss the case or let me plead to a traffic ticket but the most they would do was drop it to an impaired driving which was still a DUI. Mike advised me to allow me to file a motion but never pressured me to do it. I thought about it over a weekend and agreed. Mike filed the motion and we held a hearing in front of the judge. Mike cross examined the police officer who arrested me and destroyed him on the stand. He showed how the officer not only failed to perform the tests correctly but how he did not even know the proper way to give the tests in the first place.He also showed how the police officer messed up the PBT.
