Jack Shumate has been a frequent author and lecturer on real estate and environmental matters for a number of bar and educational groups including the Wayne State University School of Law, the University of Michigan - Dearborn, and the sections of Real Property Law and Estate and Probate Practice of the State Bar of Michigan.  He has also served in several cases as an expert witness on environmental liability matters.
