I was born and raised in Metro Detroit. I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Political Science and Spanish from Wayne State University in 2013. I earned my Juris Doctorate and Masters of Business Administration degrees from Detroit Mercy in 2018. For the past 8 years, I worked as a law clerk in many areas of law including: foreclosures and debt relief; family law; criminal defense; immigration; and personal injury. Throughout, I have also been committed to serving the Hispanic community in Detroit as a legal liaison between other attorneys and their Spanish-speaking clients. In college, I volunteered for various non-profit organizations based in Mexico City, aimed at protecting human, civil, political, economic and social rights of the under-privileged. While in law school, I was a student attorney at the Plymouth District Court where she represented criminal defendants that could not afford an attorney. As my continued service for the community, on occasion, I serve as a public defender in the Shelby District Court.
