Best Immigration Attorney Period

I first talked to Lisa T. after a recommendation from a family friend who had worked with her and I followed this up with an excellent phone interview. Other attorneys I had talked to were charging too much and seemed less to the point. Lisa on the other hand is very much to the point. Lisa worked wi...th my wife and myself to obtain a permanent resident card for my wife shortly after we got married. My wife being a foreign citizen required a change of status and change of last name so she may transition smoothly in the U.S to a permanent resident status from a tourist visa. The whole process at first worried us, but Lisa relieved all our fears and helped us approach the situation calmly and with the utmost professionalism. We started the process in mid to late January and Lisa provided us with a simple checklist of all documents needed and then we had little paperwork to do. Lisa then gave us a clear timeline of what to expect in the entire process, when to expect it and what the next steps were. As per Lisa's timeline, everything came in an orderly fashion as expected. First came biometrics (fingerprinting) with Lisa providing us friendly email reminders about upcoming dates. Then came temporary traveling and work documents enabling my wife to obtain employment before the interview. Concurrently, we had a preparatory interview with Lisa before the job and she coached us on exactly on how to handle ourselves during the interview. She advised us well that we need not over analyze issues and keep things simple. She also advised us what the worst case would be, but without need for worry. We told her more about our background, shared documents, items of concern and she retained all this information in very organized fashion from the get go. I even had concerns about my wife's Spanish and Lisa provided us with translation services, but then after talking to my wife during the interview she saved us $65/hour by recommending the translation would not be necessary in this case. This advice paid off dividends and we stuck to her advice. For the interview we had a separate list of requirements to be met, which Lisa summarized again into simple check off list for us. We were able to easily complete the list and at that point During the interview, she came with a very organized and neat packed with our entire file. The look on the immigration officer's face was pleasantly surprised and I was ecstatic. The officer appeared to be very pleased with the way the 3 of use came prepared and completed ready. The interview went very smoothly and Lisa joined us early. In the interview room, there were no problems and my wife cruised through the questions even though English is not her native language. Within less than 10 minutes we walked out of the interview with our application approved and my received her permanent resident card. The interview was extremely fast! She basically gave us a road map from start to finish and walked to the finish line with us! After the interview we continue to work with Lisa on plans down the road including filing citizenship for my wife in the future. We are very happy and shocked that things were that smooth. Lisa's knowledge of immigration law is significantly superior to other lawyers I had to talked and she understands the subject thoroughly. She also educated us about how to proceed in proper manner according to the U.S. immigration laws. I found her to be genuine and good person who seems to really take her profession seriously. She was clearly interested in our success and yesterday when my wife got her permanent resident card in 3 months this effort showed. I have already recommended Ellis Porter and Lisa T. to some of my other friends to pursue there immigration work and I suggest anyone else looking at immigration law give her a call and talk to her. We will continue to work with her and in the future take her assistance for citizenship matter!

Professional & Thoughtful Immigration Lawyer

I have dealt with several immigration attorneys for personal and work related reasons, but by far, Lisa Tehlirian is the best immigration attorney in Detroit area. We interviewed several lawyers for our case, but most of them turned us down. Unlike some of these lawyers who didn't want to deal with... our unusual situation, Lisa spent time to listen to us carefully to gain knowledge on our background, applied her knowledge and experience to make precise suggestions, and helped us through this rare case in U.S. immigration. Lisa's responses to our questions or requests were always prompt. She is thoughtful and caring, and provides a sense of comfort with professional manner while going through unusual situation. When we were unable to go to her office during her business hours, she stayed late or even met us on a weekend at her office to complete what needed to be done for the documents preparation. The office staffs at her firm were also courtesy and easy to work with too. We could tell Lisa and the staffs have great internal communication, which made things easier for us throughout the process and even after our case was closed. Lisa recently sent us an email to remind my new eligibility. The email was directly from her, and nothing like a sales/marketing type of email. Following up on the past clients and updating their situation with a short and simple email really shows her kindness. We highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for an immigration attorney in Michigan.
