I know someone who works in a factory by their self for an 8 hour shift and running machines that are considered dangerous. They still take breaks and a lunch break but is it legal because of the safety issue?
If they are able to perform the job and have the necessary safety equipment, then most likely there is nothing wrong with what they are doing. If they are concerned about their safety, or that the employer has an unsafe workplace, they should consider contacting MIOSHA to discuss the situation with them.
