The Opposite of the Lawyer Jokes

I cannot say enough about how grateful I am for George Brown. From the moment he took my case, he treated me like more than just a client—he treated me like a person who truly mattered. During one of the most stressful and uncertain times in my life, he was a constant source of support, reassurance, ...and strength. What stood out to me most was how available he always was. It didn’t matter if it was a weekend, a holiday, or late at night—if I needed guidance or had a question, George was there. That level of dedication is rare, and it meant more to me than I can fully express. When you’re going through something difficult, having someone in your corner who genuinely cares makes all the difference. George’s knowledge of the law is truly remarkable. The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday

I didn’t know I could be inspired by a lawyer until I met George Brown. He’s represented me through a legal battle that is excruciatingly difficult, still ongoing, complicated, emotional, and at times overwhelming. The situation involves a highly contentious Personal Protection Order (PPO), false ...allegations, CPS investigations, serious criminal charges, family law issues across two states, and even negotiated extradition orders. It’s the kind of case that drags every part of your life into court. And yet, through every phase, George has brought clarity, strategy, and calm. There was one moment I’ll never forget. A judge made a ruling that clearly went against the law. He stood up, on record, and challenged the decision—not for show, but because it was wrong. He did it respectfully, but firmly. And I knew in that moment he wasn’t just doing a job. He was defending me, my children, and something bigger—our right to fair treatment. George has been honest with me, available when I needed answers, and adaptable in high-pressure hearings. He’s answered my calls on weekends. He focuses on what matters. No fluff, no posturing—just steady, smart legal work when everything else felt out of control. When I spent a short time in Oakland County Jail, I met another Veteran who had been sitting in custody for months without movement on his case. His lawyer wasn’t helping him. I gave him George’s name and number. Within a week of George picking it up, he was out. Amazing Defense Attorney

When I was first looking for a lawyer for a possible OWI charge, I found George Brown’s name and read about his experience in the area that I needed to be represented. I sent an inquiry. In the same day (a Saturday) he called me and spent 45 minutes speaking me with about what I needed and he listen...ed to my story. When we met in person for the first time, he made me feel at ease and answered all of my questions. He was knowledgeable, professional and nonjudgmental, but also very honest about what we were about to go through. When we did go to court… he fought for me. I ended up getting a plea deal and I’m still working through it, but when you need someone to fight for you, not judge you, and be honest… George MacAvoy Brown is someone who will do just that! George Is Worth It

George helped me with a criminal defense case that was rather complicated by matters involving another case. I was not aware of much of the legal justice system and he explained the process to me every step of the way, working with other people involved to ensure I could make an informed decision tha...t best fit my future. This process was frightening for me, but he was available to answer my questions and you can tell he actually cares. I often didn't know what questions to ask so George made sure I knew what the outcomes could be when given different options. The case I hired him for was ultimately dismissed and he still supported other legalities after the fact. Having to hire a lawyer is rarely a positive thing, but having someone like George on your side can at least bring some comfort knowing you are in good hands. I’m thankful I made that choice, as he really does fight for you and want to see you succeed.
