I graduated in 1977 from my home town law school, Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, with honors (J.D., "cum laude"). My early experience included working as an assistant prosecutor handling trials of serious criminal prosecutions. This was valuable experience and training for my many years of later work handling serious injury cases and consumer class action cases.
In my leisure time I enjoy long distance running and biking. I used to be pretty competitive, having completed many marathons all over the world. For the past few years I've been less competetive and enjoy just getting out for a run or bike ride whenever my schedule permits.
