Caring, concerned, ethical, rational committed.
Law is my second career. My first was as a University Professor. I was tenured at Niagara University right after completing law school at SUNY Buffalo School of Law. At that poing, I had been teaching about 10 years in Hotel and Restaurant Administration and Travel Administration, having completed my master's degree from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration. At the point of passing the NY Bar I was now teaching Human Resources Management and Hotel/Restaurant law.
Sadly, my husband was transferred to Indiana and I had to leave my favorite job at Niagara. So when I moved here, I started at Purdue University as the Coordinator of Business Law and a professor of Business Law and related courses, including Employment Law, Constitutional Law, Legal Research and Writing, Forms and Regulation of American Business, all of which I developed from conception to delivery. My proudest moment there was receiving teacher of the year. After several years, I had the patience to sit for the Indiana bar exam and left Purdue after being admitted to the Bar in Indiana. I became the Executive Director of the Lake County Bar Association for two years, while I learned the legal system in Indiana, and in 2008 starting practicing law.
While my physical office is in Valparaiso, IN at 821 E. Lincolnway, I'll meet clients from South Bend to Hammond.
