Charles Hankey settled my case without my permission.
Mr. Hankey led me to believe he was going to go to court to obtain a higher settlement for my case than he had negotiated but when I called for an appointment so he could prepare me for court his receptionist told me my case had already been settled and an appointment wouldn't be necessary.
I attempted to have other attorneys work with me for my case but Mr. Hankey used various legal maneuvers in cooperation with the opposing attorney to prevent a successful outcome for my case.
I hired Mr. Hankey for legal assistance but he ended up using his legal expertise against me when he cooperated with the opposing attorney to minimize my settlement.
My thoughts are that the opposing attorney made it economically beneficial for Mr. Hankey to settle my case without my permission, causing me to obtain a lower settlement for my case.

Charles Hankey went to work for me, and did a great job !
With his knowledge of the social security system and disability laws.
What seemed at times, very hopeless. He fought and won my case.
He is not one to sugarcoat anything ! He will be strait and forward with all concerns you may have.
This is the firm to pick !
God Bless You Charles Hankey

In less than two weeks from my first call I had a meeting with Mr. Hankey. Mr. Hankey and his staff was able for me to receive Social Security disability in approximately three months that I had been working on for two years.
Both Mr. Hankey and his staff was friendly and knowledgable.
They made me feel like I was their only client.
I would and have recommended Mr. Hankey to friends and family. Wish that he did family law as we need updates on our will.

Charles Hankey and some of his staff I am sure are wonderful at what they do. I would not recommend this law firm because of the attorney handling my case. When I went in for my briefing a week before the court date, the attorney put me thru the ringer like I was on trial, treated me like an idiot. I have severe emotional problems that keep me from working. I was left with a STRONG impression that they felt I was not worth their time. The attorney had me crying by the time I left. I have heard the same thing from others who have went to this office.
They advertise experience, COMPASSION and justice. Others may have had a good experience with them, mine has been far from it. When the court date came, I was nervous. So I asked the same attorney what to expect. "We went through that at your briefing." We didn't, but they were most certain we had.
At the hearing, the judge brought up that I had worked for a brief period. She asked the attorney were they aware of that. This WAS brought up at our so-called briefing. The attorney replied that they were not. I have never experienced such incompetence in my life! My medical information was not up to date, they had done no research on my conditions at all. Nothing to back up my case. My case was amended to another date because I had been off from work with other illnesses for the amount of time required.
I have been strung along for over 3 years. My date was late last year and I was denied. Early this year I was told that they would appeal, but I was looking at another possible court date in October or November of this year. So far, nothing. If you want to know anything about your case, you have to contact them.

While Mr. Hankey handled my case for only a short time I can say that I am pleased that I was able to win my case without having to have a hearing. Mr. Hankey and his associates worked hard to get me the results I was looking for.

The biggest thing about this office, that when I call I get a human being to talk to. My Case Administrator is extremely helpful and I don't get a voice mail. I recommended this office a week ago to a friend. I would recommend this office again.
