Wrongful Death

I contacted Brian after losing my father to a fatal motor cycle accident that happened on Memorial day. Brian agreed to take on our wrongful death case, and from the minute he did he never stopped working for us. He showed such empathy and compassion for myself and the rest of my family. Always keeping us in the loop and answering many questions. Not to mention the numerous zoom calls to inform us of every step and any new details about the case. There's a reason why over 90% of my clients find me through word of mouth referrals from current or past clients. I don't "chase" accident victims or advertise on TV. For 34 years I've stood side by side with Ohioans injured in car, trucking, motorcycle, and medical mishaps in courtrooms all over the state. I'm not a "high volume" personal injury lawyer. Because I don't have hundreds or thousands of clients at any one time, it allows me the privilege of getting to know you and your concerns with a more attentive ear. One of most rewarding aspects of what I do is that I have become friends with or maintain contact with most of my clients after their case is concluded.

I also know that I still have a lot to learn in my profession. Despite my experience, I've never felt that I have everything "figured out." Like life, the practice of law should be one of constant learning on the continual path to wisdom. My clients deserve no less.

On a personal note, I have been a youth baseball and basketball coach for years and an avid walleye fisherman--a certified "fishingaholic," and I'm pretty good at it. I also enjoy gardening and canning. I also play golf infrequently--and poorly enough to convince me to stick to fishing.

Outstanding!!

I was involved in a head on collision and hospitalized during the Covid pandemic, after a call from the insurance company to my husband, we realized that the insurance company didn’t have our best interest. I had numerous inquiries from all different lawyers, but we went a different route and looked for a good lawyer, we found Brian Wilson after doing our homework. From the first call from my Nursing Home room I knew we had the right one, in Mr. Brian Wilson and his office staff. Whatever I needed he was there, the phone calls, the questions we asked, Brian was always knowledgable, professional and empathetic to the pain and loss I was going through. Our case took a very long time, partly because of the Covid protocols, but we always had faith in Brian. Brian stood firm and worked very hard, thru all the shenanigans that the insurance company came up with, and got us a very nice settlement and conclusion to the case. Absolutely the best

What a fantastic advocate/attorney! Brian was referred to me by a friend. I was a victim in a horrible fatal motorcycle accident. My injuries were critical and I had multiple broken bones and surgeries. Brian took over and handled EVERYTHING for me. He managed my medical bills, dealt with insurance adjusters and even provided morale support while I was totally incapacitated. My injuries will require 12-18 months to fully heal. I know that I am going to be better off during that time because of the efforts of Brian R Wilson. Do yourself a favor and hire him. What a guy!

Thank God for Avvo

Forty five minutes after my husband was released from his doctor and only three weeks after my husband's knee replacement, we were hit by a driver who ran a stop sign. This resulted in having his knee being laid wide open and other injuries including broken bones. All this occurred a week after his brother who lived out of state passed away and two weeks before my mother died. Needless to say, we needed help. After reading reviews from other clients on Avvo, I called Brian to set up an appointment. The stress of handling the insurance companies and reports from police, ambulances, and the hospital were greatly relieved. I can't say enough about how professional and promptly things were handled. I would recommend him in a heartbeat ❤️.

Brian Wilson took care of everything. A++

Previous experiences with larger firms who ended up passing along our case with little communication and a less than desirable settlement led me to do more careful research when we needed to hire an attorney to help us make sure that the home insurance of the owner of a dog that put my wife in the hospital paid all of our bills. Brian's reviews looked sincere and positive. We met with him and he was attentive, and proactive. We gave him documentation that he asked for and he kept us appraised of the situation over time. We did very little other than provide paperwork and photographs. Brian Wilson was diligent did his own research and made sure all of our hospital bills were paid off by the dog owners insurance and was even able to get us a settlement that we could live with. The BEST of the BEST !

I used Brian for my elderly parents a few years ago, I was impressed by his knowledge and respect for my parents and myself. After a auto accident I was involved in I knew who I wanted to be in my corner (Brian Wilson). Right from the start Brian took the wheel and took me down a path I was unfamiliar with. I put my faith in Brian and he handled my case perfectly, kept me informed and pulled no punches with me and I respect that. One thing I learned as a fire fighter is: Nothing in life is fair! Brian made things fair for me and my family. I look at Brian as more than my attorney, he treated me like I was a family member through the whole legal process. I consider Brian a good friend, not because I had great results with my case but because he showed my wife and I respect during a scary time in my life, he showed compassion and understanding. The best decision you'll make.

My son was struck by a car on his way home from school, causing him to fracture and break several bones. No other attorney would work with me because by the information given in the report, it looked like it was my son's fault! But Brian worked hard to obtain additional evidence showing that was not the case and helped my son get a fair settlement for his injuries. Not only was he determined but kind, understanding, and truly amazing during a really scary time in my and my son's life.

YES a lawyer You can TRUST

Im not big on posting really anything online but this guy deserves a GIANT gold star! After contacting several unimpressive lawyers I was referred to Brian. What a relief it was to find an honest lawyer...can i say that? YES i trusted Brian and he was able to alleviate my stress and anxiety. After an unfortunate not at fault car accident and subsequent surgery I had been forced to sue my own insurance company... who was not only treating me poorly they were aggressively harassing me and showed absolutely no empathy. Brian on the other hand did actually care and worked his tail off. What a relief i did not have to deal with anymore harassment! Sorry Brian, LOL We were able to reach a settlement and i felt Brian deserved every penny earned. I will highly recommend Brian to all of my friends and family...and will keep him in my back pocket to defend any future foe.

Provided legal advice and direction. Reviewed Insurance settlement documents.

Brian was recommended to my wife and I by an estate lawyer we have dealings with. Our daughter was rear ended in 2017 resulting in a concussion and whip lash. The statute of limitations was fast approaching and we were handling the claim ourselves. I contacted Brian so we would have an attorney should we need to file a lawsuit. I explained the situation and all we had done. He gave me very good insight into the process moving forward and what we could expect. Once we had a settlement offer, he reviewed it and made some recommendations which we had the Insurance company include in the final document. He was very personable and answered all my questions without making me feel dumb. I would definitely recommend him if you require an attorney with his experience.

Motorcycle Accident

We hired Brian to represent us due to being in a motorcycle accident. The accident caused severe injuries and Brian and his staff did everything possible to represent us in a timely manner. Car Accident

I would highly recommend Brian Wilson. My wife and I were in a serious head on car collision. Fortunately neither of us were seriously injured. The case appeared simple, the oncoming car turned left at point blank into our path. After over 30 days, we were getting nowhere with their insurance company. We received a box load of letters pamphlets and books from lawyers and doctors that wanted to represent us. I was very apprehensive of all of those. Found Brian and read his reviews on AVVO. Called and talked to him. He gave us a short list of things to do. After a couple of days, things were moving. The case was taken to arbitration by our insurance company and settled for 100% in our favor. Thanks again for your honest opinion and advice.

Helped me with insueance company headaches

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, Brian Wilson. After a car accident I tried to go it alone but I felt I was not being treated fairly.A friend told me about how Brian helped her sister and said I should give him a call. I am so glad I did. Well..... long story short Brian negotiated a settlement over 20 times what i was originally offered - without going to court. Brian is a True Blessing!

I was in a horrific car crash caused by another person in another state. My wife was told to get a lawyer by a law enforcement officer in the family. Late one night when she couldn't sleep, she was searching the internet and found Brian's info. The next morning her friend texted her and asked if she had a lawyer, because she knew of one if we didn't. Long story short, It was Brian. He truly was a blessing in one of the darkest times in our lives. He dealt with the insurance companies so that my wife and I could focus on the long recovery ahead of me. We communicated through email in the beginning because I was 3.5 hours away from home. He arranged his schedule to work around ours so my wife didn't have to miss anymore work. We would definitely hire him again if need be.
