Best lawyer I've ever had

She is honestly the best lawyer that I've ever had. Many of these lawyers, most of whom have consumed my money, were careless, not as knowledgeable, and definetly did not do the job. I was hopeless and had countless thoughts of being deported back to my homeland, and I was trying to pursue a degree. ...Then my friend introduced me of her, and immideatly we had a plan on how I can stay here. It didn't take too much time until I became a legal resident in this "Land of Opportunity" I highly recomend this lawyer! Can't go wrong with her expertise and passion.

The WORST attorney I have ever used. Thousands spent, and she turfed me as a client after I was denied - TWICE!

This was back in 2007, I was trying to adjust status into the US. She told me, "No problem, this is a simple case, I'll have you in within a couple of weeks. Don't worry." She is very convincing as a salesperson, and her marketing is second to none - lots of advertising, radio, TV interviews, she... puts on the good face of a concerned immigration attorney who wants to look out for your best interest. Don't you believe it: what she is really looking out for is her bank account. I handed over $5,000 and as soon as she had my money, she was virtually impossible to contact. From that point onward, everything was done by inept paralegals who made many blatant mistakes. They would send me paperwork to sign, I would identify all the mistakes and send it back. They would fix the mistakes and send it back, whereupon I would find even more mistakes. This would go on over and over again with every document. It was like they either didn't care, or weren't properly trained. The paralegals did incredibly incompetent, sloppy work. USCIS is so exacting that even a tiny mistake on a form can result in rejection. It was horrifying that Ms. Wong's paralegals were intending to submit these forms on my behalf with so many blatant errors. The first visa application she submitted was denied. USCIS said that I did not qualify for the visa for which Ms. Wong told me I qualified "no problem, don't worry." Once again, she told me "No problem," and she had me reapply with a different type of visa which she "for sure" knew I would be approved. Months wasted and even more thousands of dollars down the drain, and USCIS denied that visa application as well - again, they said I did not qualify for that visa, even though Ms. Wong again had told me I more than qualified. $12,000 and two denied visa applications later, Ms. Wong said she would call and work on appealing my second denied application. But not to worry, if they still denied it, she said I could just "marry my US girlfriend and file a spousal visa." Weeks went by, I sent multiple emails and left countless voice mails. Time was running out. I finally got her on the phone. "Oh sorry, did nobody get back to you? Yes, well, I talked to them, and they didn't seem to think it would go through, so I don't really see a way of this working out. Sorry. Maybe you should talk to a different lawyer, you might have better luck with them." Are you kidding me? $12,000 spent, and absolute minimal effort on her part. When the decisions didn't go the way she repeatedly promised me they would, she turfed me as a client and told me to go try a different immigration lawyer! I did exactly that. My new immigration lawyer looked at her work, called it "shoddy" and "borderline fraudulent" and told me that BOTH visa applications she had me attempt were not correct for me. He also told me that the advice Ms. Wong had given me about using a spousal visa was ethically wrong and would likely have had me being charged with fraud had I attempted it. Today I am a naturalized US Citizen. No thanks to Margaret Wong and her staff of incompetent bumblers. I would stay FAR away from this woman and her practice.

Gold digger/Worst service ever_H1B Applicant Please Read

I had Margeret Wong handled my H1B case last year. I have a communication major and marketing certificate from a US college. My job function is marketing related. When I approached Margeret, she sugarcoated that the case will be well handled and I believed her based on the 'good' reviews she got onl...ine. Please be aware: You can only get your H1B visa approved if your job function is closely related to the highest degree you have. In my case, it is inapplicable. However, she overlooked the fact and said that she can argue that my marketing certificate is equivalent to a bachelor degree. I thought that she really had that credibility, but the reality is that she went to a shady website online for academic evaluation, which you can acquire it yourself for $80. After I paid them $5000 for the service, I never heard back since. Unless I reached out, they never gave me any updates. After more than half year of waiting, I finally heard back from them telling me my case was rejected. She knew that my case would not approve from the beginning, but she lied and charged outrageous amount of money. My case was probably sitting on their desks and returned to me after a good half year.

I'm so sorry that you did not get on the H-1B quota. I checked my files, and of the many H-1Bs we did this year, you're the only one to complain. We sent your refund in June -- did you get it? Please let me know as soon as possible. You can call my cell at 216-952-8419.
