Even with a couple hiccups,in our filing he did not charge any extra fees. When it came to advice on legal matters outside his e...xpertise, he referred me over to other attorneys, which I respect a lot. I feel a less principled attorney would try to handle a matter they weren't competent in order to charge for more services. I was most impressed when we were at court and I saw other bankruptcy attorneys asking him for advice on their cases. He has been doing bankruptcy law for over a decade, and it is basically all he does. When it comes to your Chapter 7 or 11, don't be cheap and pick a general attorney that does a little bit of everything. Pay a little more for a bankruptcy specialist like Joe, and get it done right the first time.
