Chris Patno ("Patno") is a great trial lawyer! Great trial lawyers like Patno are a rarity. They are the fighter pilots or trauma surgeons of the law. Try as they might, most lawyers are just not that impressive in a Courtroom. Patno is a notable exception. I'm a physician and attorney and therefore an extremely tough client to represent in a malpractice case. Yet, he did it brilliantly with finesse. For me, the great trial lawyering part of it is a lawyer's ability to deliver the counterpunches of cross-examination, redirect examination, and rebuttal argument, where frequently the most significant pieces cannot be plotted out in advance.
